H9ZH39Y7 was an amazing seed if anybody wants it. Lots of good multipliers

can basically fly through antes with nothing but straights after a certain point. By the time I failed, I was running a joker that gives a random multiplier, one that gives you 2 chips per dollar on each hand, one that gives a 15 (I think) multi for straights, one that has a 1/4 chance to upgrade your hand and one that gives a 15 multi for having 0 discards left

With bean normally u get +5 hand size

When it gets disabled ur perm hand size drops back to normal

But when u main menu/quit

The game "forgets" that ur perm hand size is down

So it just uses the number that u have in ur hand

so its a unique code for a run. if you run with a seed you wont get any achievements or advance any challenges. the hands, stores, packs and blinds will always be the same (the hands might change depending on your deck)

so if i run with a hypothetical seed and i get a big blind ante 1 store blueprint i can give the seed to you and you will see a blueprint in the big blind ante 1 store

@burnt geyser I got a break off work so played the seed, I won, ended up playing pairs and high card and scaling early bus/green joker w square 👍, basically no deck fixing because it was not offered any real one bar the steel cards

this seed was basically just do not get baited into trying to be cute w flushes over playing reliable hands that can fix for blackboard value easily

Bought (probably the same?) Space Joker and it procced once (similar experience!) but I just ditched it once I found burglar, it was fine regardless w the passive scaling

Hey guys, can someone explain to me why the same seed JS2LLID9, varies between versions of the game? I use steammodded for multiplayer and when I use that seed and use the polychrome tag on the small blind skip, after the bigblind I get a polychrome blueprint and a hanging chad in the shop. But when I turn off my mods, and from what other people are saying, you get a different shop with polychrome scholar and trio instead. Is this a known bug?

I did replay the seed twice, and saw these all, but on different attempts
saw bus and green together just once, but didn't get them, coz bus was rental and I only had just enough money to be around interest, so I didn't wanna risk losing it
same reason I skipped square for the first time - didn't wanna lose my money from extra hands by scaling it
altho I didn't think of it being foil at first either, so that was a misstep for sure

somehow, when I was playing flushes, it was perishable

Bus being rental was fine because two pair joker (that I bought in shop 2) + blackboard was enough into ante 3, so I was ish30.

I also saw early foil square and at that point I am already playing all hands, I think square is insanely strong early when you want to play towards Pairs - especially with a scoring joker already. I think forgoing bus/greenbo/square because it's scary to not reroll is bait, because you're paying money to scale jokers into winning positions already.

Ramen I never saw, probably would've bought it over Green but it also made no difference in the end. I spent most of my money on the rental + playing 4 hands, because I knew that it was enough scaling.

Burgler was ante 7 or something, maybe Ante 8. I was confident in winning anyways, but it meant that I was 6 hands spare at the end.

Did not reroll boss, I just grabbed Blackboard and moved him to the back (APM check), but it didn't make a difference. Violet might've been scary though, think it's enough points anyways though.

I understanding being scared off square/bus etc though, but I see it as, would I pay 4 gold in a shop to buy +4 mult and +16 chips for the rest of my run on every hand? yeah I probably would

I am, though, trying to be aware of them being rental, and square not being enough to carry early antes alone
I did have runs with those conditions and it always ended up poorly coz I couldn't set my interest up
I guess the difference here is that 20$ is enough, both for rental and for scaling square
still kind of a real shame spaceman was silent all the time; but I can't ignore the lack of rng on flat scaling jokers:p
it's my first time analyzing several runs over the same seed, and the differences of those make me wonder what's dependant on what? even if not applicable in normal runs, it's peculiar

I think differences lie in when to reroll/etc, what packs are opened etc but someone with more knowledge can fact check me if they know better.

I think it's true that you have to think about rental bus etc, but in this seed you see blackboard shop 1 and a flat mult that can carry you to 25g fast in shop 2, and at that point I am fine buying jokers that allow me to scale when rental. Mad Joker + Blackboard means you can oneshot almost every hand and allow you ti scale fast.

I think generally a good way to get better is to play seeds sent from players that are hard and to play them without spoilers, especially if they've confirmed its winnable with good play.

APM check is just a joke about how if you're fast enough you can "catch" a joker when they're shuffled and keep them in place - since the order only mattered for blackboard I could just catch it and keep it in place and the boss had "no downside"

honestly, I think it's the best one - being so interactive is extremely immersive and rewarding:)

there's early to-do list that gives a fair amount of money, but the only scaling jokers are the late bus (about ante 4 exit I think?) and supernova
I had eternal droll joker from beating early antes, so supernova grew a lot for flushes, and I decided it was too late to take the bus as it'd most likely be better to play two flushes with face cards than one flush/one random
especially with card sharp that I took on ante3, I believe
at some point I also got paint brush and gratification, so those helped me a lot
anyway, spent everything on rerolls on ante6 to find todd and scary face, that barely scraped over the boss requirements
and lost on big blind of ante7 coz couldn't improve my score any more
was avoiding a lot of planet/tarot packs since I thought I'm in dire need of scoring jokers, and jupiter was giving somewhere around 10% of score increase, which wasn't enough for requirement spikes
I'd need at least 4 planets to beat ante7, and I don't think it was realistic with resources I had

no pressure though:) if you have free time - I'd like to read and learn more from you!

I've played for quite some time and I think I've gathered decent experience but seems like it's not enough
I just lost a game to the last boss blind, coz I couldn't afford my jokers being disabled
first pack I got eternal card sharp, and second shop offered stuntman which I took for consistent chip source
then I tried to keep my money safe waiting dor scaling jokers but none came
I saw the castle but skipped it coz of stuntman
bought eternal bootstraps as an emergency to win some blinds
bought invisible thinking copying one of the three would jump up my score and it did get me another card sharp
the only other mult scaling joker I saw was rental flash card, but it wouldn't be enough to beat crimson heart so I didn't take it

Lokey is correct, blueprint shows you what is in the shop, but it also shows you what things like riff raff, judgement, and other such things will give you, just like the shop all of those cards has a list of cards they will give you, but it is a separate list from the shop.
