Yeah I haven't decided yet whether I'm spending enough time on playing balatro or whether I should waste more of my time playing with its inner workings, modding, etc. but that's so cool for a weekend project! Honestly I'm surprised that soul doesn't do the "looking inside soul and judgement" cause that's mostly what I care for in rolling through seeds. I was a Noita player for quite a bit, and I feel like quite a few balatro players have been, but if you don't know about it already, noitool is a very cool and robust seed checker, which factors in your choices as you look through it. Don't know how easy that would be to implement for a balatro seed checker tho. Like showing the altered queue without any blueprint jokers after you buy one, or still showing them if you have showman, etc.

The the rng looks like it’s selects what rarity the card will be then pulls from the set of cards, but if you click and buy a card, then go to where that card would have been again and you will see what card ends up there instead

First of all, this guide is super in depth and looks like a lot of time was spent on it. If you did this, that’s awesome and a tremendous effort which I applaud.

But for me, following a step by step guide just feels like I’m not really the one playing. I’d like to take a good seed and hit Naninf organically.
Ante-30 was the closest I ever got. I’m wondering if I needed to do “high card” instead of flush five so I could run mime and Baron for card in hand procs instead of sock and buskin and card played procs.
Maybe that’s the solution?
Is it even possible to hit Naninf with flush five? If so, are there conditions I didn’t meet that I needed? More planets? More levels taken in flush five? (Was at 30)
That’s more the advice I’m looking for.

Yeah makes sense. Also the Trib means Flush 5 is absolutely the way to go. It lets you get 2 ectos instead of 1 and especially the negative Golden Ticket you can find in one of the packs means you want to go flush 5

There's also a negative juggler somewhere

217 planets is only 1/4 the way to naninf. polyglass + 3 sock and 3 idol...you need 15 total without planets. as far as easy, copy cryptid, something like 30 of them will be enough with mime/baron/3 copy jokers.

(played card naninf is much harder than a held in hand naninf strategy)

from what I was able to find you've got about a .36% chance of hitting a straight with 5 cards. 6 cards to 1.7%. 7 cards to 4.6%. 8 cards to 8.9%, 9 cards to 14%, and 10 cards to 18% (but I think these odds exclude the hand if a better hand is present. Say for example A-A-A-A-2-3-4-5 would count as 4 of a kind, not straight) I think getting a straight in 2 discards is almost a sure thing if you know what cards are coming.

The negative blueprint is so nasty, but there's a Showman early on. The issue is carrying that showman into the late game. I'd have it replace the hologram, probably, until I pulled a second copy joker.

Seed if anyone wants to try it. Only skip the negative skip rewards. You'll get two and can get an absurd amount of negatives, one of which is a blueprint.

I need help breaking this seed. Spectral deck only. There is a way to get blueprint, brainstorm, mime, baron, Perkeo, and a full deck of red steel kings through copying wraith to make the blueprint and brainstorm, then copying death to transfer the rest of the deck over. I got to it my first run on this seed, but I can't remember the exact route I took to get back to it. I've gotten close though. I remember you get mime before perkeo, and you get baron in ante 7-9. if it has to be ante 2, a couple hours with the brainstorm mod will find one

That list of seeds is all negative perkeo and 1 copying which is pretty good. It doesnt actually need to be ante 2 but I'm looking for something in the first 5 or 6 w/ anteglyph.

Only one i could think of would be decks like ghost deck, because it adds stuff to the shops, spectral cards would shuffle/replace stuff that would otherwise be there, not entirely sure how it works but ye
