This also lets you marks cards as bought so you can see what jokers will replace it, both of those things can affect accuracy !

It’s still a WIP at the moment so there may be bugs, but you can mark cards as bought, it has direct links to the wiki, it generates a shopping map you can follow in game after you built it! And of course plain text output

2K9H9HN It is the negative Trib negative Perk seed. It is a great seed but I was getting a negative roughly every 160 cards I milled. I had a mail in rebate most of that run so I was generating 800-1000 dollars a round. No skips used. I did not buy every negative I found as some would have hurt. Some of those are not even great for the build but I got them anyway.

Yeah. Its also tough trying to keep your hand size big enough to play flush5 instead of singles. My hand size there is 5 and I would generate steels with a negative dna, then play the glass for scoring.

Even if so, the only thing that might improve scoring would be trib. since you’re on ante 9 any other might kill you before.

Some things aren't possible the RNG state is bound to its internal data state (a double or uint64 in lua afaik), this doesn't allow for every combination of possible deck layouts. Even iterating all those possible numbers isn't just quick even if your doing thousands per nanosecond on multiple cores.

Did some math going through every possible 64-bit value at one per nanosecond would take 584 years. If you have 64 cores you could cut that to 9 years, but that hashing and checking isn't one nanosecond it is significantly larger. However all that you still have no guarantees that it even exists within all the possible states.

If you move it to the GPU you could scale more with 64k cores one per nanosecond it would be a 3 days, however they are all slower so per check you might be looking at 1us at best which is 1000 times that so 3000 days or 8yrs

8yrs of non-stop GPU number crunching just to find the seed isn't possible.

You could push it on to cloud GPUs and cut down the time much more into a couple of days or hours, will cost you alot, with a high likely hood of never finding the seed because it doesn't exist.

Actually thinking about this more, I'm uncertain on seed restrictions but if it's case insensitive alphanumeric 8 character limited (assuming based on existing seeds) then the search space is significantly less instead of 2^64 (e19) it would be 36^8 (e12) where your chance of hitting the right 52^52 (e89) is essentially impossible it's a rounding error on the rounding error of the possible deck combinations

So assuming those seed restrictions exist you can totally check all seeds at home possibly within a couple of days (or less then a day depending on cores), but you won't find the seed.

I really should look at balatro source code to verify the restrictions, how the hashing works, etc.

looks super cool. I'm not sure if you're looking for feedback, but two things: first, the hard cap of 100 cards per ante is quite low, especially if you take into account the overstock vouchers and how ridiculous seeded econ can get. would be good if you could set the number of cards for each ante, since I might want to see, let's say 50 cards in ante 2 and 3, but 200 in ante 4, and so on. the second related point is that the ante 1 cards are hardcapped at 15. while this is understandable, there's the edge case where you get Hieroglyph in ante 1 or 2, and therefore end up seeing more of the ante 1 queue than normal. would be solved if you allowed for custom number of cards per ante as well though.

Guys, there's this seed: ALEEB, that allows you to get all 5 legendary jokers very early on. I managed to reach ante 13 before I got my booty kicked by a big blind, but that's just a me problem! Just make sure to not skip any of the blinds in the first 3 antes and open all the arcana packs

Interesting… I’ll have to experiment with that. I could be because of how the code works for different systems. I know that when I mod my game it causes certain jokers to be gone or in a completely different place as intended. There’s still probably not anything specifically Xbox when it comes to seeds unless that person sharing the seed is also on Xbox

Hello, does anyone know how does Ectoplasm's targeting work? Like, what modifies it? I'm having trouble making it target the joker I want despite being on a seeded run and doing pretty much the same moves as an earlier run I had today, in which it did target the joker I want

the jokers have an internal number that can be manipulated a little with menu/reload. the ecto will be a seeded random value, which is then mathed into which joker id it will be. drdreamo did a video about it

yeah, basically the only way to affect your ecto outcomes besides buying/selling jokers involves restarting the game. if you'd opened and closed the game during that earlier run, that would explain why ecto is behaving differently in runs where you didn't

I'm trying to minmax the hell out of a seed for fun, and a fella somehow managed to get a Baron from a Judgement, but all of my Judgements were not it, so I'm trying to figure out what changes the outcome so I can maybe keep a Judgement and use it when it's favorable

To my knowledge, judgement should have its own queue that does depend on the ante. For example, if an ante has two arcana packs that contain a judgement, the first judgement used, no matter which shop you open it in (in the ante), will contain the same joker every time. Same with the second judgement, third judgement, etc. Once the ante changes, the queue is the next ante's queue, and if you go back via the vouchers, the queue resumes where you left off.

I haven't looked at the code so I'm not 100% sure but that's my understanding of it

i just hit this insane seed on ghost deck although it would probably do better on plasma deck

it has 4 tribulet you get the first one from ante 1 shop 1 arcana pack you get the second one from invisible joker by skipping big blind and using the judgement tarot and it gives invisible and the other two i don’t exactly remember but i know i got 3 before ante 8 and one after blueprint comes a few antes after 8 but i missed the first one so i had to wait until 2 antes later i believe and branstorm is in the same ante as the second blueprint i will scour the seed more to see what else you can get

Hmmmmmmm, you might be right. There's a lot of xmult happening there, and I think one repeated sock would of given me an extra x2 per play profit. I'm basically going 2x1.5x2x1.5x2x*1.5x off of just the trib running once with the 2x from glass. But math is hard and I am dumb.

Most things from what I can tell are based on the Ante you are currently in, for example the with the same ante the queue is the same regardless of when you see it, I do think packs work like that as well for example charm tag just pulls from that antes arcana pack queue

A few messages up there is a paper by someone for more knowledgable than myself explaining it !
