Without showman, the latter card is replaced with the same type (ex: two smiley faces are next to each other in the shop. the second smiley face is replaced with a different common joker). With showman, you see both smiley faces

Gotcha, so this depends on what device is being used to run the filter. To see what devices can be used you'll want to run immolate --list_devices and see what platform is what. You then want to specifiy which one you'll want to use, so in my case my graphics card is on platform 0, it'll be
immolate -p 0
Then from there you use the function "F" that will go through your filter folder. So for double_legendary it would look like:
immolate -p 0 -f double_legendary

You should see "building program" then after a few seconds, "starting searcher". It'll then search for applicable seeds, like these:

The number in the parenthesis is the score that's being returned. For double_legendary the filter is just looking for a yes or no - a 1 is yes, a 0 is no. However some filters like four_deadly_jokers will have more than one condidtion, and if only some are met you'll get a score of 3, but if all are met you'll get a score of 4

To clarify, the (1) means "Hey, this seed meets the condition (two legendaries)". You wouldn't see a 0 because it that would be every seed that doesn't have a double legendary

Typically seeds are examined with The Soul anyway where the deck can be changed freely. Unless there's something relvant (like ankh in the first shop with a legendary) it usually doesn't matter too much

Perkeo, constellation (x52), blueprint and three brainstorm, observatory with 269 negative mercurys. Read seal steel queens + enough blue seal steel queen's to get three planets each round. It was very fun, but took me two days to play... I think someone can take this further with kings and high card. Seen many many barons and mimes, but way too late to pivot. With skip tag deck maybe something cool can happen with negative jokers. I'm taking a break from this one and trying skip tag in a couple days maybe.

i also started the run off by getting an eternal bull which i then hexed, which is a fine enough move normally (eh not really lol) but really crippled the run since I couldn't replace it with any of the good jokers i saw

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I decided to give this seed I saw on YouTube a go. Credit to @left laurel for generating the seed. This is by no means optimized; I'm sure you can go above 700x on the Hologram if you can find a natural negative Marble Joker or Certificate (or just simply don't take the Planet Merchant Vouchers like me lol), but I'm proud of my 679.25x 🙂

The seed is very powerful. It gives you a natural negative (NN) Hologram early on as well as a NN DNA. The trick to this seed is foregoing the obvious play in Ante 1 and instead going for Overstock, which snowballs into said NNs. It also lets you more easily find Showman so you can get your extra copies of Brainstorm online. My little attempts at optimization were spreading out rolls to buy cards throughout each ante, trying to use Familiar and Grim within the shop when possible, and using the boss rerolls to get Serpent to save Cryptids for the later Antes. There are some glaring mistakes hindsight has shown me, though:

• I did not use my skips and 6 double tags in Ante 39 to get more Spectral packs, potentially missing out on 7 Familiars (I accidentally clicked on Small Blind instead of skipping to the boss, picking up the packs in the unwinnable Ante)

• Purchasing the Planet Vouchers seriously flooded the shops moreso than I expected. I justified the purchases due to reaching Antimatter faster, but I'm sure if you keep your rolls streamlined without those planets, you'll find more helpful NNs. If you can find a NN Hand Size Joker, then you can use the -4 Ectoplasm to be at 1 or 2 Hand Size instead of 0. I was hoping for Certificate and/or Marble but the planets got in the way

Yeah the early mid game is tricky but once you get the ball rolling, you can transition to just spamming cards due to DNA and Cryptids keeping your deck 50% Kings or more

I didn't think to do that. I played on my Steam Deck and just let it run for a few minutes each hand.

Then I transitioned into red seal gold/steel and then realized I only really needed gold. I threw in steel sometimes when I felt like I wasn't going to make it to 39

At a certain point I realized I could just reroll and add a ton of cards and due to DNA and the cryptids I had to use to survive each round, the chance of drawing a King was huge still

SQ47MR41 - this seed is from someone else, it gives you 2 poly blueprints if you skip first blind (must be ghost deck). You should be able to get a DNA once you use the first judgement in ante 5 or 6, keep rerolling for hologram later, use money from a rebate if you find it. For after getting the blueprints, you should open the buffoon pack and get scary face. Then, after the first boss, open an arcana pack to get a temperance. In the shop in ante 2 big blind, you should be able to get a judgement from an arcana pack which gives you a burnt joker, I recommend you go for high cards. Much later, you'll be able to get deja vu, so you should prob go get a chariot and go for king of spades (not clubs, will run into a bad boss) high card with a bunch of steels

oh yeah, if you use the shop after ante 2 small blind by buying a buffoon pack, getting the rerolls joker, rerolling 3 times for delayed gratifications, get your money back by playing the 3 of a kind king instantly, then get the burnt joker in next shop (sell delayed gratification), reroll, sell the reroll joker, you can then get a photograph

this one will be made negative by an ectoplasm you'll be able to find before the dna i think

First of all, REAL tarot looping is banned. That means emperor->fool+anything->fool generates emperor->... is banned because it is infinitely repeatable.
Second. Temperance/Hermit Money might be an issue very early on. But later on these two tarot cards do nothing. Even if you had a temperance at every reroll (which is already better than the odds of encountering one tarot card every reroll), that would basically be a shift of the reroll cost, so that overall you can reroll 50 cost further. That is nothing and there is a much better target than temp or hermit. Let me try to give a brief rundown of my strat/ the best strat for seeded runs. I will order it "thematically" and not chronoligically.

Problem 1: How do I get deep in shops?
Problem 2: How do I get more double tags?
Problem 3: How do I score appropriately?

P1: Money. A lot of money. If you want to see the engine that powered my old run, go to the second version of my run and watch the "showcase of all the records" video. At the end you should be able to see most of it. Now, Optimation 1: Collect every common joker except clown and try to have showman only if needed. Then every common joker you get is a clown. However, as you would have clown every other reroll in your hand. you can only get twice as far. Optimation 2: Do the tarot engine (I did it). Do not pick up Judgement. If you would have to pay for the reroll, you can simply use judgement and if it was to give you a common joker, you get another clown. Optimation 3: Exclude fool from the engine. That way you have two targets in your deck and you can handle two tarot cards spawning at one reroll and you sometimes have more in reserve. Optimation 4: Exclude emperor from the engine. Remember, real tarot looping is forbidden. But you could use it to spawn the two other excluded cards. Just remember to always then use judgement before fool, to not do the banned loop. Pro Tip: If you have only Emperor in your slot when you have generated clown (and already have the free reroll), use it. You should then have judegment and fool in your hand before your next reroll. Thus, the next reroll will 100% give you emperor if there is a tarot card. Emperor is important as it gives you effectively 2 jugdements instead of just one, so you go +1. Optimation 5: I do not do the following, as you could play what comes now up to the end of humanity. By this point, you only ever have to pay reroll costs if the shop has no tarot cards and you have non left. You could use the vouchers Tarot tycoon etc. Then there is (most of the time) only a less than 1% chance that you have to pay reroll cost. That for all your cost won't happen.

P2: You have two strats. Early game strat: You buy and sell blueprints/brainstorms , while copying cola as they give you the extra double tag as well. Late game strat: You try to obtain a neg copy of every uncommon joker and there are more of these jimbos than common ones. So it is a real pain. If you have them all beside showman and cola, around 50% of your uncommon jokers will be colas. It is actually higher because you leave showman in shop and if you then use judgement and it spawns an uncommon, it is cola again. There are things you need to consider though. Madness might break your engine; same with dagger. Merry andy just decreases your hand size as all the discards are deleted by burglar. Turtle bean changes/disappears. Smeared joker can make your money generation interfere with scoring and vice versa. Seltzer is also always used up each blind. Hopefully, I did not forget any.

P3: You need to distinguish between money generation and scoring. In my run, I can score naninf pretty much whenever. This is because photograph+pareidolia+chad+ copy jokers allow me to do that at any time with any single card. I struggle to not score too much. You can sell baron, triboulet, ancient joker, idol (remember this one is uncommon), .... As you do not care about the rare jokers in the late game (feel free to never pick up stuntman as it just decreases hand size), just do a good allocation of your copy jokers during money generation (make them copy e.g. golden ticket) and scoring (make them copy idol, triboulett, photochad, or whatever).

yeah. 130 in the old run, of which roughly 24 were set up phase. I am currently redoing my run, and I am currently over 60 hours in purely setting up. I have over 2000 doubletags rn.

I know that I have not explained nearly everything I have thought about in the hundreds of hours of routing. But I think that for most people, this is as much as interests them.

If I can give you one small wisdom to think about then that consistency is king. And being consistent can be achieved in two ways. Increasing the number of targets you do want (e.g. by also using blueprint to copy cola, or playing diamonds because rough gems gives more money only for them, ...) and minimizing the targets you do not want (pick up every joker/ tarot card except the ones you want to appear more often).

At some point when generating the RNG the game divides by zero, basically setting the input to Lua’s RNG function to “not a number”. Surprisingly Lua is okay with this and returns an actual value as an output (~0.99 iirc) which the game then uses for RNG events. In this error state the game keeps using the same RNG value because it’s always passing “not a number” as input. For Erratic Deck code that just so happens to correspond to the 10 of Spades, but this bug can happen in any RNG function basically

it's the seed that was used for that run, it determines most things (what's in the shop and so on). when you start a run, near the bottom is a check box for seeded run, that's where you put that seed to play it

If you put in that seed when you start a new run and do the exact same things the exact same things will happen basically

This is useful for a couple things. You can share a particularly lucky seed with someone and play that run, you can do runs with specific jokers if you really wanna use a certain one

You can both pick a random seed, but use the same one so you can have a race where randomness isn’t too big of a factor

You could replay a seed you lost in to see if there was something better you can do

I found a way that would allow me to reroll the Shop forever basically
A brief statement for what I am doing:
I do the rerorolling without the last optimization
If I were to do the last one an keep up the speed I am playing at and keep having the same frames (no way) I could spend 10k hours rerolling up to ante 30. There I should have maybe 1 million double tags that would be converted into negative tags. That could give an even more insane amount of money. If you take that amount and start rerolling until a 39 (or further with talisman) you can reroll for a bit

After another rough but EXTREMELY underestimating calculation I believe that you could reroll every shop past that point for over 25k hours which is roughly 3 years
Do that for the remaining 20 blinds and you have at least 60 years of rerolling in this massively underestimated version with the hard cap of a39
Btw. There is a negative tag in a39 if you want to go further with talisman . So who knows what would happen after that if you invested lifetimes of humans into that

If you manage to get to a scale resonably far beyond what I am doing I believe the best money strategy is a combination of:

Of course, you can get even more from a second income stream (normal retriggers, midas mask, golden ticket,…) but the main income will be what I described

So with doing that past a30 up to a39 I am confident in saying that this run could outlast humanity

it's tough to be excited about a trib seed. sure it's auto-win to ante 12, but idol does the same thing and can do a trick you can't with trib (while def not being auto-win ante 8 like trib is). granted trib is easier to do DrDreamO things with over something like idol or mime/baron...

but I might be too perkeo or not worth playing the seed these days too 🙂

Theoretically, is the perfect seed not one with:
negative perkeo, X blueprints, paredolia, and however many negative stencils you can make

Because that honestly doesn’t feel that far out of reach
