Tarots, I feel, have to be limited in time period to the medieval era to match the rest of the set. The name? Perfect. It's like a parralell to the Fool. Instead of going off on a quest, it gives you a quest. I just feel like instead of giving the feeling of a video game questgiver, you could do something similar to the Noir Channel card from Blindside, where someone is at a tavern, someone mysterious maybe leaning against the wall all important-like, like that DnD questgiver stereotype. Those kinds of guys did exist in medieval times I imagine. Some guy who's hammered to calm the stress of a problem, and will ask for your help if you come close to them, thus causing a month's worth of havoc in your life.
