ok so since everyone was too lazy to explain it then I searched it for myself.
Basically the Minecraft Far Lands were a famous terrain generation bug in older versions (before Beta 1.8) that created massive, glitched, vertical walls and tunnel structures 12,550,821 blocks from the world center.
Due to 32-bit integer overflow in the terrain generator, the world became impossibly laggy and chaotic.

You know how mult and chips have +mult stuff as the common modifier, while Xmult is the valuable, rare one? What if amp was the opposite?
What if, amp added to chips ((chip + amp) x mult), but Xamp was common (while +amp was valuable and uncommon)?
This means amp mostly scales multiplicatively with itself, unlike chips that scale additively.
