You mentionned wanting to put in some calm off time and the opportunity of shops, I think it could be cool to have the game be split in waves as do the pvz ones, and in each wave you can change a given number of cards you're using to defend yourself, that would make the general wave system less stressful and allow some midgame adjustments to make the game feel maybe less commital

Only thing I'm worried is that in typical card games you have like 10 cards on the board max at all times in stuff like Yugioh and even then that can be a little daunting to approach, so if you want to do waves you'd probably need to keep the wave enemies very simple or design the cards very intuitive and easy to digest

I'm confused about the Antes part you wrote. So the way the Pac-Man Joker works is: It gives you 2.5X Mult, and at the beginning of each round a suit is selected. If your hand scores that suit, the card loses a life. (This simulates how pac man runs into a ghost hence why I colored the ghosts to match the different suit types.) If you run out of extra lives and you score the selected suit, the joker will destroy itself. You get +1UP (how lives are displayed in Pac-Man) when a Boss Blind is defeated.

I think what the Joker description needs is instead of "-1 life if yada yada" it needs to be "This Joker loses a life if yada yada". I dont want to spam the fanart page so if you want to discuss it more please just pm me 😎
