I've then thought about Summit cards, where you can add permanent stat boosts to your playing cards, akin to Hiker (and hence the name of the card types)

• Denali: Permanently add X0.1 Chips to 2 selected cards
• Everest: Permanently add X0.1 Mult to 2 selected cards
  I'll add more, but there will be +mult and +chips options, held-in-hand options and hidden spectral versions that allow you to add (extremely low for obvious reasons) ^Mult or ^Chips
