I was looking at this again to show a friend and it occurs to me how much it bothers me that they sorted by colour rather than the actual order

Yeah, I don't remember the exact order but this is the OG alphabet and the order it goes in could be called alphabetical. Only reason I didn't say "alphabetical order" is bc I thought it'd be misunderstood. In most languages the order of daughter systems is remarkably consistent. Aleph-Bet-Gimel, A-B-C, Alpha-Beta-Gamma, etc.

Which would be Ox, House, Club. If going based on the Hebrew order, which iirc is the least changed from the original order, the Mark should be last and the Water in the middle.

The Latin alphabet dropped letters it didn't have a need for and for most words the g changed to a k sound and so the letter became pronounced that way, except in some ancient names like Gaius.
