they’re just pointing out you are using a darker value than the darkest value the base game uses
which is fine! the game just has a set palette cuz the engine will saturate colors a bit more so some saturated colors can look “deep fried” in game

iirc the darkest value in the game is in the campfire joker. even darker than “balatro black” so even thunk himself broke the rule to give the campfire joker more depth

one tip i have for sticking to the in-game palette feel is to flip the joker sheet and your art to black and white mode
it’ll show you the darkest value immediately so you can stay within the game’s saturation and still make your own colors
