If you run out of hands at only 75% of the required score, destroy all cards scored for the last hand, as well as any cards remaining in your held hand
That way it justifies its existence beyond Mr Bones, since it doesnāt destroy itself immediately, but still has a heavy price, as that can kill a lot of cards
