Mint: you can sell it at any point for some asking of $$ based on other additions.

Basically I chose a darker paper colour, set the opacity to like 2%, and then kept drawing it in one spot over and over again, just adjusting where it was hitting for what intensity of darkness I wanted

it's not a smooth gradient, you can see where my different brush strokes were

But for paper specifically that kind of helps. It gives it depth, like the light is reflecting off it unevenly

Ok attempt 2 at the effects for the conditions:

• burnt. No chips, adds mult equal to the level of the played poker hand when scored.

• mint. Scores twice as many chips (doubles added chips from things like hiker and bonus)

• ripped: scores half off it's chips, but counts as half of a card. Meaning that you can play two ripped cards in place of one normal card, but you HAVE to play a pair of ripped cards for either to score

• faded. No chips, but face cards count as any face and number cards count as any number.

And I'm thinking about how your get these conditions. And I think you'd primarily get them from jokers 🤔

But yeah, when I make jokers, I tend to color pick from the game’s asset sheet of every joker. I sometimes go beyond that, or ignore it when I’m shading or doing similar pixel stuff, but for the most part it’s colors pulled from the palette directly.

I just took the values for one card and rolled with it. No way in hell am I actually coding effects or anything, but it's awesome to see them displayed in game as a keepsake :>
