what helps me is just flipping to black and white in aseprite

you can see the values clearly and it’ll tell you if its way darker then other assets in the game

its a lil dark but for a black seal thats supposed to be wax think it fits.

this is mostly for anyone who’s curious what i mean. & i love pulling out this b&w joker sheet

the colors look a lil flat but the in game engine will saturate them so it’s done on purpose. you can also immediately tell the darkest value is in campfire (a lil darker than balatro black)

it’s also a good trick to use if you have to make a new color but still have it fit the in game palette
