Its a reference to the Yakuza. Their name originates from a particular hand in a Karafuda card game consisting of a three card hand of 8-9-3 ("ya"-"ku"-"za" in old Japanese), which was the worst hand in the game as it gave no points.

They named themselves after it to symbolize how they could help people out if they've been dealt a bad hand in life, though because of the crime association, those particular numbers (and that particular Karafuda hand) is associated with bad luck, death, and the Yakuza in general

I'm thinking of making a consumable that can be used multiple times, but then it flips and can't be used, and you have to reflip it by doing something (example: turn 1 card into a bonus card, reflip by scoring 10,000 chips in future rounds) like a kind of spin on dvrp's cine cards. I think that Gaff cards could work well, because they're meant for magic tricks, and card magic tricks use a LOT of flipping. Do Gaff cards work, and is there something better?

It’s still level 1, 2, 3, etc.

But for example Venus gives +2 Mult and +20 Chips per level

1.75 effectiveness means that using Venus adds +3.5 Mult and +35 Chips each time

Anything that delevels hands like the Arm would use the current effectiveness

So if you have 1.75 effectiveness when it leveled up but 2.25 when it leveled down

You lost “more” levels

Stupid speed paint card: Wrench word
Every 2 boss blinds you can change a key word from one of your jokers descriptions, changing how they work.
(You cant edit numbers [except if the numbers are actually the numbers of the play cards], multipliers or change chips value for mult value or money value)

Examples:
Ceremonial Dagger: When Blind is selected, destroy Joker to the right and permanently add double its sell value to this Mult (Currently +0 Mult) ---> Each hand played, destroy Joker to the right and permanently add double its sell value to this Mult (Currently +0 Mult) ---> Each hand played, destroy Joker to the left and permanently add double its sell value to this Mult (Currently +0 Mult)

8 Ball: 1 in 4 chance for each played 8 to create a Tarot card when scored ---> 1 in 4 chance for each played 8 to create a Spectral card when scored

Dusk: Retrigger all played cards in final hand of the round ---> Retrigger all played cards in the first hand of the round

Fibonacci: Each played Ace, 2, 3, 5, or 8 gives +8 Mult when scored ---> Each played King, 2, 3, 5, or 8 gives +8 Mult when scored

Scholar: Played Aces give +20 Chips and +4 Mult when scored ---> Played 10 give +20 Chips and +4 Mult when scored

Noir (Rare)
Makes a random card in hand, consumable held or Joker Negative when you sell a Joker. Negative is removed from all cards currently displayed when Boss Blind is beaten. (Negative cards give +1 hand size)

If you would be left with more jokers/consumables than you have space for, then some are debuffed until you sell them, prioritising the cards that were previously negative

yes, the idea is like a pop up menu where u select the joker u want and then u select the word or group of words, some words can't be selected, once u select the word this will open a list of what words can you use in that space.
