They are actually different graphs, it's just that Supply and Demand is very important in general. I'm actually going to tell you what they are in order (from top to bottom), not because I want to tell you that bad, but because I need to memorize them all and this helps me a lot:

The first is a simple Supply vs Demand graph, which affects Quantity and Price. Simple stuff.
The second is the AS/AD graph or Aggregate Supply and Demand (for entire parts of the economy/national economics), same as before just on a bigger scale. The next one is a modified version that takes into account the AS in the long run (LRAS), as the economy naturally moves towards it according to Classical Theory.
The last one is actually for the Foreign Exchange Market (FOREX), comparing the value of one currency to another using their quantity and price ratios.
Anyways, I hope I was right with all of this because my grade depends on it. Wish me luck.

I just set it to overlay/screen/soft light and reduce opacity until it looks good to me

a lot of it boils down to "trust your gut" when it comes to blending but for me what i like doing is if i have a color, and i want a shade darker of it, i'll just grab the balatro black, lower the alpha to like 40%-70% and then click over said color and voila

and balatro usually has like 1-2 shade colors for a given color, so keep that in mind if you feel like you're excessively shading

I personally color pick from the sprite sheet if its a common color like red, blue, or orange, but just eyeball if its more specific than that

so generally speaking, from what i've noticed, these surfaces tend to have a range of shades

hats - 0 to 1 shades (mostly the jimbo hats, merry andy has a shaded hat)
skin - 1 shade, for the nose, and the side of the face.
hair - usually no shade, but sometimes there's a shade involved (perkeo)
clothing (not hats) have anywhere from 3-4 shades, and sometimes are very similar (which bugs me but to each their own)
materials like metal or plastic will usually have 1 or 2 highlight colors and 1 shade color
anything that's really detailed usually disregards all of the rules above (stuff like splash, seance, rough gem, etc)

might even be a little more with some thunk-color clones in there but for the most part, you really want a lot of shading on an object that is usually small, but close up and magnified

stuff like castle however has like 3-4 shades (for their respective color) for something far away

and the snow is only just 1 shade

generally smoother things that arent reflective will have smaller amount of shade colors
