I like the food item suggestion I just think something a little more general for Kirby will be more fitting, allowing him to 'eat' any joker instead of sell and steal the ability seems a little too strong if it stacks. But eating a joker and stealing the edition allowing them to stack might be fun? Might have to limit how it stacks so you don't get a triple negative double polychrome Kirby but that would also be funny

The food item ability suggestion could fit on a glutenous joker that would also speed up how fast they deprecate, so gros michel and Cavendish have increased odds of getting eaten

And there are some strong common jokers, abstract supernova, ride the bus, fortune teller and the bananas of course. Doubling any of those abilities alongside picking and choosing what edition you want might be a little strong (unless I'm misunderstanding)

And honestly it's not too unrealistic to think this might happen, Balatro got pretty popular when it released. i like to save jokers from the wiki, choose one as a base, and then drag it into my program (aseprite) they're all 2x size from the original pizel size, so i scale it down 50% and it's all 1 by 1 pixel and you can start from there 😄

hahah yes the banana stand lore is actually so funny and fits the banana mechanic in a hilarious way.

whole show's humor is based on irony. the bluths own a family business and the father (george sr) goes to prison for real estate fraud. the son, michael takes over but is annoyed with his dad's negligence. the banana stand is just a side thing they have on the beach where michael's son (george michael) works in the summers to earn some extra money and "learn responsibility".

george michael is fed up with working there and wants to burn down the banana stand. michael finds out and instead of being mad, he helps him burn down the banana stand to stick it to his dad and "bond with his son". the whole episode as this unfolds, geroge sr reminds michael "remember, there's always money in the banana stand!"

turns out,|| there was actually $250,000 lining the walls of the banana stand...that's what he meant by there's always money IN the banana stand.||

i think its possible to get into drawing pixel art in photoshop type programs, but they aren’t optimized to export sprites

i use Aseprite, i believe it is $19 rn but it’s a one time purchase unlike adobe. if you can get it one day, i highly recommend it. makes everything easier for me at least

the best way to start pixel art as well is scaling it down to 1 by 1 pixels, so it isn’t difficult to resize later. i like the concept! and i think your art is good too, just a matter of fixing the proportions 🙌
