The maximum ante you could reach was 6, though the game said 5, after you beat the 5th ante you would go to the 6th ante which would be Verdant Leaf every time
there was a bug that got patched that allowed you to get to at max 9 which I have a screenshot of doing which was when I started glitch hunting

And then for difficulty it was only white stake but there was barely any ways to get x multi. The most consistent strategy was to get telescope and focus on full house/straights.
Depending on the deck (Red deck, Abandoned, and Yellow were the only ones in the demo) obviously strategies changed a bit but planets were way more powerful compared to now
