I think List is considered underpowered by most because you still have to work for it, and you are often forced to abandon it when the hand it asks for isn't feasible within your established build. Burglar, too, is considered underpowered by most.
However, this showcases the incredible power of Blueprint specifically. Blueprint breaks Burglar, giving you double benefit without double drawback. And then after already giving you that benefit, Blueprint can be shifted over to copy your List. Blueprint is pulling the weight of three jokers at once but only taking up one joker slot.
If you're really interested in "overpowered," 8 Ball gives you even better value at lower setup cost (compared to List).
As far as I know, world record for "end screen money" is a little over $400 for random seed and a little under $1900 for set seed, documented here: #1156234818212868096 message

Record aside, $250 is still a very impressive run. A couple misplays (with the Burglar for example) probably cost you an extra $20-$50, and then selling all of your jokers before final scoring is worth another $20-$30.
The record of $408 (as far as I know) was actually achieved without List, Blueprint, Burglar, or 8 Ball. It was achieved with Egg, Bus, and Gratification (and a lot of lucky with Arcana packs).

Bus is one of the best jokers for economy. Having all of your scoring concentrated in one joker means having more free joker slots for whatever economy jokers, even underpowered ones.
Smeared joker is another good economy joker.

In this latest video, we play only Stone cards. Yes, we actually play only Stone cards.
In Ante 1, we use two Mega Arcana skips to give us two Tower and one Judgment Tarot so we can beat the Boss in just one hand of two Stone cards.
In Ante 2, we use two Fool and one more Tower so we can get a hand of 5 Stone cards just in time for the Psychic Boss.
For the Ante 3 Boss (no Discards), we use some minor shuffler manipulation (see my other video about Card Swapping) to give us a hand full of Stone cards without needing to Discard.

I've decided we're going to do this in three parts.
We are continuing our work toward optimizing seed 11AMTTJH in hopes of getting a high score over 200 Trillion. In my previous video, I demonstrated the first 9 Rounds (through the end of Ante 3, link here: #🎥・videos-and-streams message).
In this latest video, I demonstrate the next 3 Rounds (through the end of Ante 4). One thing particularly interesting/challenging about this run is playing 7 or 8 Hands per round (because of Burglar) while still keeping Flush House as the most played Hand for Telescope.
Disclaimer: The place Part 1 ends and Part 2 begins is not exactly the same. The difference is I went back and replayed The Water boss differently so that I could get a better shuffle in Round 10 (beginning of Ante 4).
A couple people have expressed interest in replaying the exact same run, play for play, so they can achieve their own high scores. In light of this, I will not be releasing one complete video of the run from start to finish.
This run has taken a lot of effort by more than just myself. If this is something you're personally interested in, it's up to you to do at least that little bit of effort to figure out a few missing pieces on your own (namely, what do we do differently in Round 9 in order to get the deal in Round 10 that we want).

We start with Red Deck and try to remove as many cards as we can.
Interestingly, the Seed HALFDECK starts with a Superposition joker. In this early part of the run (first video in a planned series of three), you will see us trying to play as many Straights as I can each round, at one point chaining together three Fool cards after a single Hanged Man Tarot.
In part 2, we transition from using Straights for Superposition to using 8's for 8 Ball.
We end Ante 4 with 24 cards in deck (taking us a total of 28 card removals).

I don't plan on it.
The omissions, although necessary to recreate the run, are relatively minor. The point of the videos are not to validate the authenticity of the run. They're meant to demonstrate the interesting techniques used to make the run work. And the minor omissions don't diminish the ability to demonstrate this.
I don't want just anyone to be able to perfectly recreate the run anyway. Folks who want to do this will need to do at least some of the work to figure out some of the pathing on their own. The only difference between where Part 1 ends and Part 2 begins is what "card swaps" you need to do in the last round if Part 1. It is 100% "figure out"-able.
I may splice the footage together into a single video, but that is a video editing thing I don't yet know how to do.

Seed Optimization Tutorial: Shop Queue
The Seed you're using determines what Jokers appear in the shop and what Tarot cards appear in Arcana Packs. However, you have some control over this. The shop will not offer you repeats of Jokers you already, nor will booster packs offer you repeats of Tarot or Planet cards (within one pack). Learn how to manipulate the shop queue into offering you the Jokers (and other cards) that you want earlier in your run. Earlier in your run may also include using less shop rerolls, saving you a ton of money.

This started out as the Daily(ish) Challenge to win without selling any anything (Jokers, Tarot, Planets), with the idea being that Jokers purchased are permanent and can't be swapped out for better ones. "Bonus Points" were offered for not using any Booster Packs (Arcana, Celestial, Spectral).
I thought I would repeat the run optimizing for least purchases. Thus, in this run, we make only two purchases: Runner and Ride the Bus Jokers.

Daily Challenge, play as many Straight Flushes as you can.
With the help of Smeared Joker, we have little problem making Straight Flushes (except for when the Wheel decides to be mean).
The problem is, Straight Flushes are just too powerful. If we one-shot every round, that's only 15 Straight Flushes! Instead, we engage in this balancing act between having enough Jokers to win each Round in two Hands but not so much that we accidentally win in one Hand.
Result: 23 Straight Flushes!

On the topic of Smeared Joker, I want to reiterate a point I tried to make in my tutorial videos:

Smeared Joker makes it easier to make Flushes, but Flushes are already easy enough to make. Instead, you should be using your Joker slots to make your Flushes worth more points. Similarly, it will sometimes be more optimal to use your Arcana packs to get more scoring rather than more Suit Changers. You can easily have a successful Flush run even with no Suit Changers.
Four Fingers, too. Don't take Four Fingers to make Flushes. With Straights it's different. Straights don't normally become easier to make as the run goes on. Being able to make three Straights per Round with Four Fingers is 50% more points than being restricted to only two Straights per Round. It's absolutely worth the Joker slot, even for just Straights.
Finally, for Straight Flushes, Abandoned Deck basically guarantees you will get at least one Straight Flush per Round. Smeared Joker raises that to two per Round, acting like a "x2 mult" Joker. Fingers would act as another, perhaps allowing up to three Straight Flushes every Round.

Compared to Flushes, Straights are harder to make but worth more points, owing much to the high scaling potential of Saturn cards.

Educational game content is really hard to create. I like how you try to show what an average run looks like in the flush house video, so people can learn a few general lessons they can apply to any run. Then, it could be interesting to get into more context-dependent topics, such as when to pivot a run into something different and how.
Knowing the audience is also difficult, some people just got into the game and search for general tips to win while advanced players want to see different thought patterns from top players. Some people have encyclopedic knowledge about the game, others haven't played enough to recognize every joker and tarot using just the visual.
I think regularly summarizing information is important in this kind of content. Like saying "It's ante 3, we've made these decisions so far and this is our current situation. Thus the short term dangers we need to keep an eye on are this and this, we also need to keep in mind what we need long term to beat the final boss. Then we're going to focus on doing that in the next few rounds ". That often means a little bit of repetition but it's fine.

About 700 rerolls and about 15 "attempts," here is my submission for least cards played without using discards. In the end, we play only 31 cards. Possibly could have shaved a card or two by skipping more Blinds, but I didn't feel confident I would be strong enough to beat the final boss (having failed several full skip runs prior).

Hey, I'm always down to learn something.
You're passing on the guaranteed utility of the Glass card for a chance of something better. How high does that chance need to be to be worth the risk?
Consider: 47 dollars buys you 6 rerolls (2 dollars leftover), assuming you haven't done any rerolls yet. If you've already rerolled once, 47 only buys you 5 additional rerolls (6 dollars leftover, not enough for another reroll). And this doesn't leave you money to actually buy whatever it is you're rolling into.
Anyway, 6 rerolls. Each shop slot has about 70% chance to be a Joker (20/28 actually). So 6 rerolls is about 12x(20/28) = 8.57 Jokers.
Unlike the Glass card, the Joker you find will replace a Joker you already have. So you need to find a Joker which is +21 mult better than your weakest Joker. How many Jokers actually do that? What is the probability of getting one of those in only 8.5 Jokers?
Track record aside, we should be able to resolve this mathematically.

Hey, OBS is standard for recording software. I use an Elgato Wave 3 mic. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8-Core Processor, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, 32 gigs Ram, SSD for running the OS of my system. HDD For running games, Separate HDD for recording footage to it.
I record in 2k resolution at 60fps. If I need to do any editing I use Divinci Resolve as it's free. I make thumbnails in Photopea (a free version/clone of Photoshop). I have a Stream Deck for streamlining my recording/pausing/muting settings. My webcam is Logitech StreamCam.
I use 3 monitors which is probably overkill but having 2 makes it much easier to have game on one OBS on the other.

Part 1 of 2. The second half of the run is still being routed at the time of recording this.
We've said in the past, the game is prevented from offering you a duplicate of a Joker you already have. Using a glitch, we are able to remove that protection and do silly things like obtain two copies of Blueprint and two copies of Dusk. With this, much higher scores are possible than before.
Special thanks to @blissful sierra , @barren idol , and @devout basin for figuring out how to reliably recreate this glitch.
The seed we're using is [ S697QC664 ]. Previously, MathIsFun and 00001H jointly wrote a program to search for seeds with certain characteristics such as Spectral packs offering a Polychrome Aura, and we used that program to find the seed for the glitchless World Record run.
Note, in order to get duplicate Jokers, they need to be naturally occurring. For this glitched run, MathIsFun searched through all 2.25 Trillion possible seeds to find just one which had multiple copies of important Jokers and a high number of Negatives, among other useful features.
Finally, shoutout to Discord user @robust saffron for completing the very first Quintillion point run. Further, they helped figure out the route to obtain the collection of Jokers you see in the video thumbnail.

This run was created with intention of beating Balatro with as few cards as possible. This was achieved by beating every required boss blind with only 1 card.
We start this run with 2 spectral skips into wraith, which give us just enough scoring to be able to beat the first boss with 1 card. On the second ante we pick up ice cream and wheel of fortune. Afterwards we reroll the boss to avoid having to play 5 cards. In ante 3 we take mystic summit for scoring and in ante 4 we don't reroll, so we can manipulate the holo skip tag to land on raised fist. we do however make a stone card. Ante 5 let's us pick up holo raised fist and polychrome abstract joker followed by making stencil negative. Which makes room for 1 more joker and actives stencil. In the last shop we take a joker to sell for verdant leaf and a last planet card.

The only time you can skip is when a card in your deck goes to the top area for selection iirc and since you dont have any, the trigger for skip to be clickable isnt run cause magic

"Move one, disregard the rest" is definitely the "quick and dirty" way. If I don't know what's coming, let's say, two rounds ahead, then I don't care about all the "extras" getting shuffled around. I'm resigned to just find out when I get there.
In contrast, if I need to go "three rounds back in time" in order to find a card, then I can only safely swap it one-to-one, not wanting to disrupt the multiple rounds of work I've already set up successfully.
I was working on a run which had Superposition + Gratification instead of 8 Ball. Every round I was lining up A-5 Straight Flush in the starting hand without any discards, so I was only seeing 6-8 cards per round (not always the full 8 because of Ectoplasm). To rearrange cards, I needed to go 4-6 rounds "back in time" to find the last time those cards were seen.

Yeah, I've had this idea for a month (ever since doing basically the same thing with the Red Deck) but haven't had the time to do it.
Btw, when "save-scumming," it sometimes changes the "relative rank" of cards with the same suit/rank.
For example, suppose you have
9c 8c [8c] 8c^ 8c 8d 6d
where [8c] is a Glass card, and 8c^ is a Lucky card. When you reload, it might turn into something like
9c [8c] 8c 8c 8c^ 6d
and that'll persist through the rest of the run. This could mean you do some extra swaps when "save-scumming" which you don't do when playing "all in one take." When I write my notes, I include both which swaps are required and what the final hand should look like. This happens most often when navigating Arcana and Spectral packs.

Without save-scumming, the "correct" 8 is the first one which I then need to swap into the middle position (to save it from breaking). With save-scumming, the "correct" 8 is the third one instead.

You covered the melting aspect and what it can do for you in an early round to one-shot a blind, but one of the biggest discussions about ice cream I've seen here on the server is when it's good to take. It's great to take in the late game since it doesn't have the opportunity to melt, but what about earlier? 100 chips is great in certain scenarios, so if you find it early, how do you deal with the melting? Do you set up the expectation that you're going to sell it soon? How soon? Does that mean it's a survival pick and ignore otherwise? etc.
I don't know how in-depth you want to go with strategy discussion for this series, but I find it's good practice to discuss these topics in order to not miss more interesting strategies found by others in the community (I'm a big fan of learning about unique perspectives on strategy), or even the obvious ones, which we can all miss from time to time.

I can understand wanting to stay to the more concrete things. In a game community I'm in, we have a tips document that anyone in the community is free to edit (no griefing so far), and something we had to figure out is how to handle the idea that not everyone will agree on certain strategies/some strategies may turn out to be completely wrong. We don't have a concrete solution, but that issue hasn't stopped us from sharing them - we just phrase those strategies in a way that accounts for those possibilities. And in the end, with the disclaimers (explicit or implied), I think it's better for people to be exposed to them anyway, as they can work out for themselves whether it works or not and why, and maybe use them as a platform to make a better strategy out of it anyway.

I could write a 20 minute deep dive into how to play with/around Ice Cream. For example, the comments about Negative Ice Cream melting the same as any other Ice Cream was missing the extra leap to "When offered Ectoplasm, it may be preferable to sell your Ice Cream before selecting."
On the other hand, you may be going for a quick 1-3 minute video that you can point people to for a "bare bones" understanding of each Joker. In that case, I would suggest picking two Jokers per video which have synergy. Explain each Joker individually and then explain how they work together. Leave the dozens of other synergies up the viewer to discover and/or speculate on their own. I think doing 5 minute videos on 75 pairs of Jokers feels better than doing 150 videos, 2 minutes each.

Yeah, it's a big old list. Plan is to have mnay rough cuts within the edit project files, so when new demo/1.0 etc comes I can just amend the project files I have rather than startign from scratch later. but I'd like to have a good few ready sooner rather than later. I can also always do 'Abstract synergies revisited' 3 months down the line if some new 'end game' synergies come along with new 1.0 stuff, but those will be fairly infrequent I'm sure.
There's also the 'do I try and cut some 1 minute verticals for youtube shorts/3 minute verticals for tiktok' but there's only so many hours in the day

Really liked the animation of zooming in on the abstract Joker.
Agree with CC about slowing down the playback to show the Mult number under the Joker.
Really didn't like not being able to see the scoring boxes on the left.
If you're new, you're still learning what Mult is. Would like to be able to see the "numbers go up" on the left at the same time as the Joker triggers.
It'll take some editing but possibly take inspiration from CatianKing's Shorts for how to adapt Balatro for the vertical format. I don't love his particular layout necessarily, but you'll want to do something similar, cutting the game window into chunks which get stacked vertically.

Maybe we don't need to full "welcome back" 50-100 times.

Abstract Joker.
On the tin, gives +2 Mult for each Joker you have.
Notably, this counts itself. You still get +2 if it's your only Joker,
and it essentially tops out at +10 when you're full up with 4 other Jokers.
Abstract doesn't give as much Mult as things like Crazy Joker or Mystic Summit
but doesn't require you to play a specific Hand or play in any special way.
It simply rewards you for what you were already doing.
Remember, Negative Jokers give you extra Joker Slots,
allowing you to get even more benefit from your Abstract Joker.
Still, even with full Joker Slots, you'll likely be looking to replace your Abstract Joker
with something offering an even bigger bonus.
