Yeah, I think I understand how to set it up. The bot selects the trap in the onboarding. They get a role that only has access to one channel, and that channel has an autoban feature for anyone who types in it.

Having been on the staff end of using bot traps in onboarding before, they honestly do not tend to work very well, as real people have chosen the option many times despite very clear warnings. We've tried it for probably about 6 months to maybe a year and ended up scrapping it because of how many people got caught in the crossfire

They're a fantastic idea on paper, not so much in practice

Also you don't need to get into the server fully to have access to the member list, which is often what they're looking for
