When I was in university, and I had a few smaller projects under my belt, I had an idea for a really cool risk type game where you select a country and battle it out. I won't get into the details but it was going to be a big project.

I spent many MANY evenings working on it, many weekends, and after about 2 years I had a pretty functional version of the game I was able to play and enjoy. And I was constantly adding little things to it that were challenging my brain and forcing me to learn new things. It was the most enjoyable project I've ever worked on

Not once during those 2 years did I consider releasing that game or showing it publicly, and the thought of doing so now feels like a betrayal of what I love about this hobby
