ive been struggling for the past 3 hours to beat a run with black deck
2 games in a row that i made it to ante 8 the final modifier is extra big blind (300,000)
first time my build was eh and i didnt even get the normal 100k due to bad rng
2nd time i actually could easily beat 300k, i was getting close before i buffed my deck right before the final blind
i got so unbelievably unlucky on my draws that the first hand got 130k but every other hand got under 5k
i dont understand, 95% of my runs end due to bs rather than what feels like my fault, like for the first few hours i figured "ill get better and unlock stuff that can help"
i got better and unlocked a couple meh jokers and vouchers, and if anything the bs increased
is this normally how the game operates? because its gotten to the point where it feels like something broke, cuz i know i may not be the best at this game, but i know cards well and 9 hours into this game and ive barely made any progress

the first thing you absolutely just need to know about the game is that iys 100% skill, theres always something you could have done to survive

the second thing you absolutely need to know is that you need to treat it as something skill-based, i.e. dont expect wins sleep-deprived 😄

the first thing to check is your money management: you should always strive to get interest on your money so that you can afford packs and vouchers and rerolling

what this means is you want to only score barely over the blind requirements and use rest of your resources to earn more money/other value like deck fixing.

finally, other than looking for scaling scoring jokers, you need to have a certain focus, like only look to play and upgrade a certain hand, and recognize when a joker wants you to absolutely play something, like ancient joker flushes or stuntman pair+high card

also one more thing to note is that black deck is the hardest deck

By blind 3-4 i had max interest on my money
I only went below when i needed a specific joker or planet

I focused on pair and 2 pair, by the end my 2 pair was level 7ish and most jokers gave mult and chips for pairs and 2 pairs

The reason it felt unfair was because my first hand of the final blind was 130k out of 300k, then when discarding i didnt get a single other pair despite planning my discards and even sacrificing a hand when i didnt get a single pair
Im pissed because (and i checked) if it was almost ANY other modifier on the final blind i would have been 100% in the clear, and even with the big bling modifier i should have been fine, but the game gave me horrific rng

I made sure to keep any jokers that multiplied mult or chips to the far right and ordered them to maximise (i had like 3 of the special joker modifiers that add a 1.5x mult)
Plus i discarded what i thought were smart discards, but i kept getting bad rng
Like literally EVERY other bling up until that point i had a 2 pair available for every hand i played, thats how i set up my deck
I even had some stone cards so i had additional chips on top of my 2 pair (i had a joker that added stone cards that i swapped out for a mult joker on ante 8)
I also had a modified joker that gave me more chips for every stone card in my deck
Every joker was there for a reason and worked off of each other, i just got screwed by not getting any pairs
