The main issue with those joker/edition tags is that the joker that you get/gets modified is very often completely irrelevant to your build, or just doesn’t provide anywhere near as much value as just getting another shop would, or getting another round to scale jokers or make money.

This is before Eternal, Perishable (which is the worst one in this case) and Rental stickers which all make them worse.

Getting rid of the stickers wouldn’t help enough to make the tags better. Making the joker free wasn’t even enough due to the unreliability.

Sure, it would make them better, that’s just an objective fact, but not to the extent where they are viable.

Holo and foil are arguably fine with that change, but losing a shop is still really bad.

Investment is significantly better because you can choose exactly what your money goes towards (more so than coupon allows).

It’s just that the chance of getting 2 tarots or planets (of which very few are good at this point in the game) is too high, and getting a joker that is not only helpful at this point, but also not actively detrimental is too low.

And you skip over one of the few rounds you can beat without jokers or planet scaling.

Honestly, ante 2 Coupon skip might be more worth it compared to ante 1 Coupon skip now that I’ve thought about it more.

Especially on Anaglyph or Zodiac, that could be something.

Might try a few runs with that in mind.

The best hands in the game currently are pair, 2 pair and high card respectively because they are really easy to draw and don't need much to get going, they can easly make use of steel and gold but mostly its just that most jokers synergise really well with pairs

Flushes, 3oak and 5oak are generally really bad hands since they're too hard to draw

But even then you can make use of any hand, it's all about if it helps you get the biggest number

synergy specfic jokers is basically a category that shines when paired up with other jokers
pareidolia is amazing with sock and buskin or canio
marble joker is great for a high card run (also great with hologram)
four fingers and shortcut are great with straight runs (I'm not really doing a four fingers flush run unless its like flush straight or something)

bull is hard because you don't get much value out of it in gold stake (scaling requires you to use money consistently and rental jokers + no small blind rewards make money hard to come by especially early game)
trading card is hard because the value just isn't there, blue stake's -1 discard makes it really hard to use trading card for decks that require insane deck fixing (besides hanged man and immolate do a way better job of destroying cards and they do it faster and easier)
fib is hard because my play style doesn't support fib use, I'm not usually building a deck towards fib
