Think of it this way. Usually in scoring with cards held in hand, played and jokers things happen left to right. The boss itself is the left-most thing on the screen. If you play a hand and The Arm decreases the level then Space Joker can trigger after and increase it. Same with The Needle triggering first and then Burglar

So if The Psychic says you must play 5 cards it's the left-most, thereby nullifying everything else if you don't play 5

(or the wiki is wrong and so am I)

It seems to take between 150 and 250 hours for many players from what ive seen on reddit.

The best decks for c++ are yellow and ghost imo because they are the most consistent decks to start and the early game is the most punishing part of gold stake, as well as anaglyph if you wanna gamble on negative tag showing up (and then giving you jokers youve not won with yet)
