Most of the time, my high-score runs don't come close to this far — they stop between Antes 16 and 24. An additional mechanism for scaling is often required, such as increasing hand size with Cryptid, Double Chicot, Crimson Bean glitch, or DNA, or additional scoring with Perkeo+Observatory

This is one of my more complicated runs:

• At the beginning, I played Plasma Deck normally, scaling up chips. In Ante 7, I found a Red Seal 10 in a Standard Pack. During this time, I also slowly turned my deck into Hearts, to prepare to play Straight Flushes.
• On the shop just before the Crimson Heart boss blind on Ante 8, I found a Turtle Bean. I decided to go for the Crimson Bean glitch, which gave me +25 hand size entering Ante 9.
• The next stage of my run is playing as many Straight Flushes as I could with Séance to get the Spectral Cards I needed, especially Déjà Vu (for Red Seals), Medium (for Purple Seals), and Ectoplasms (for extra jokers). Baron would only be activated on the final hand to win.
• I had a lot of Purple Seals during my runs, meaning I could get a huge amount of Tarot Cards (including Death and Fool, which I used to turn my entire deck into Kings of Hearts)
• Throughout my run, I also took Invisible Joker and Showman several times, which allowed me to get extra Blueprints and Brainstorms.
• I went for the Crimson Bean glitch again on Ante 24 to get +15 hand size.
• Sock and Buskin + Golden Ticket allowed me to get a large amount of money in one hand by playing Red Seal Gold Cards as a Flush Five. By Ante 27, I have accumulated $100,000.
• By Ante 35, I had 4 Blueprints and 6 Brainstorms. And by Ante 39, I have accumulated over $200,000.

Normally, a new Turtle Bean gives +5 hand size. So, you might expect that when it gets disabled by Crimson Heart, the hand size should return to normal. However, if you exit to menu and then re-enter the run, the game forgets that the Turtle Bean was disabled, and gives the +5 hand size anyway. And when the Turtle Bean is re-enabled, the game gives +5 hand size again. You might expect this to disappear after the round is over, but nope — these +5 hand size gains are permanent.

Let's consider this: you enter Ante 8 Crimson Heart with Burglar, Blueprint, Brainstorm, a joker that gives scores 30,000, and a fresh Turtle Bean. You now have 13 hands to play. After entering the blind, you sell everything other than Turtle Bean and the joker that gives you 30,000 points, and play one hand to cause either Bean or the scoring joker to get disabled.

You play one hand to initiate the Crimson Bean. Whenever Turtle Bean gets disabled, exiting the run and re-entering gives you a free +5 hand size. If you only have 2 jokers, and the scoring joker doesn't score enough to win too early, then you can disable Turtle Bean every second hand, giving you +5 hand size for every 2 hands you have. With 12 hands to start, you get a free +30 hand size going into Ante 9.

This +30 hand size is equivalent to 15 Cryptids. It also allows you to take way more Ectoplasms than you would normally be able to take, getting tons of negative Blueprints and Brainstorms.

And in order to get all of these Ectoplasms, you don't necessarily need Perkeo — you can play Straight Flushes with Séance. Even though Straight Flushes may seem unreliable (with a “normal” hand size and unmodified deck), if you’re drawing 75% of your deck every hand, you can probably play several Straight Flushes each round
