A lot of it is purely down to the jokers that are available and using your planet cards wisely. Build economy also

a good set of jokers with no synergy is better than going all in on synergy

About deck fixing, open as many arcana packs as you can(except with the skip tags, and also without fucking your money too much) and aim for a specific deck fixing, such as fixing your deck towards a specific suit, or a specific card
About good joker builds... hm, try to use logic to find what jokers have synergies, but most of the good combos are a retrigger(red seals included) and some form of mult(lucky cards are a good option in case you dont have good mult)

Watching roffle's videos helped me to get better in balatro, so watching streamers and studying their logic and play style is also not bad

supernova is retroactive and is poker hand specific
