Over time, getting a single purple seal is always better than having slightly more cards of one suit.

How to not suck:
In the early antes you want to get as much money as possible (from jokers such as Golden Joker, Mail-in Rebate, etc) while scoring just enough to beat the blinds. You should transition from money-generating jokers to scoring jokers (ideally a mix of +chips, +mult, and Xmult) as the blind sizes increase. Use planet cards to level up one specific hand and use Tarot cards to fix the deck to make you more likely to draw that hand. This strategy should allow you to beat the ante 8 boss and win at least 90% of the time on white stake.
