Yeah, that missing discard is a pain. My biggest issue with gold though is that early game jokers are eternal, late game jokers are perishable, and everything useful is rental. Then a boss blind kills the run.

and as the scenes progress, a little will be revealed about a mystery that haunts the kingdom, and all the scenes will be connected by a specific object (the object has not yet been decided), something subtle and small that stays in the background
and then, in the last scene, the last piece of the puzzle comes together and BOOM, the audience gets the insane plot twist
