its based off the venomous bug jar, put a bunch of venomous bugs and critters in a jar and the one with the strongest venom will be the last one remaining (it doesnt work in reality)

if you play a hand with a base mult of 4 and the joker at that point has a mult of 5. 2 mult gets added, if you play a hand with a base mult of 8 and the joker has a mult of 7 it breaks. you can increase base mult with planet cards allowing it to carefully scale

a good idea is to look a the already existing scaling jokers, their rarities and how "easy" and convenient it is to scale them

liek square joker is +4 chips if hand played has 4 cards
pretty easy to scale, but limits the viable hands to 4 or less cards
pants just needs the hand to have a two pair so it works with two pair and full/flush house and gives you +2 mult for that
pretty easy to scale, but once again limits your hand
