Sorry guys, but a noob has to share something: I just beat Ante 8 for the second time. In the first two Antes, I only got jokers that would provide me with good cash but no mult bonuses. I was clueless in which direction my build should even go, and I thought I would die in Ante 3 or so.
But thanks to Driver's license and Card Sharp, both of which I discovered for the first time and pretty late in the run, I won Ante 8. Boss in Ante 8 was even the Violet Vessel (very large blind)

I also used Fortune Teller. Due to many Tarot cards, it gave a good bonus, too, and corresponded somehow to Driver's license (since you get enhanced cards through using many tarot cards)
