You could just make the sweepstakes 1 entry per 1 race participated in and finished, so it keeps active racing going through all hours. But youd still need a skill based reward imo. Its only fair to reward those who put in the work.

Thats why I said pacing and races too. Like more points for podium. Some points for top 10. Points for completing the race and not dnfing. Points for clean laps. But it would be a lot to track. by changing the event type, I dont think you eliminate the issue of the same names being there, I think you just change the names you see. I think it probably needs a different format altogether but I dont know how youd really do it to give everyone a real shot if there are limited spots

Get to a point where you can turn the racing line off. Spend your first few days being safe rather than fast. Dont start from the pits. Its more safe. But learning to survive the chaos of formation and T1 Is CRUCIAL. Learn when to back off a corner if instead of going side by side and wrecking. Then just keep pushing from there. Being safe is fast.

If you dont know a track. Easiest way to at least learn it. Just YouTube "how to (track name) in lmu" and you'll find really good guides that help with braking points

Sounds good thank you. I did my first online got p10 however I let a few past due to fear of being run off the track. The car was stiff as a d*** and had trouble turning into some of the corners.

Bronze races are in fixed setups so some cars do feel stiff. Letting a car pass and losing a position is a LOT better than having to much ego and wrecking out of the race. Idk how many times ive let the car behind me go ahead cause they are throwing their nose down every corner. And then after they pass me they get comfortable and wreck themselves. Race your race.

This. With time you'll be able to read when someone is gonna spin themselves out and where to put your car. Find a car you like and stuck with it for awhile. I found trying different cars over and over messed me up in the beginning.

I like the Cadillac so far tried doing a 24 on spa and broke the gearbox 10 hours in. I started on f1 25 and learned very quick the gearbox shifting is very different. And I’m learning with no assist as they can be very hard to get away from and the car is faster as well.

I’ve also learned there heavier machines so gotta be more careful sending it up ea rouge

Tracks I’m familiar with are Bahrain imola spa interlagos COTA and the lusail. Le Mans is a different beast so learning the braking points is taking some time

You can participate but I dont think it will count. Thats how it was in Forza, I dont know if theyve released the rules yet. But it wouldnt make sense if the same guy qualified every round.

10 races to lose your rookie badge, and for SR its about 25 ultra clean races for silver 1 SR

And once youre Silver SR, silver events have an SR multiplier, so you will gain more fast from then on, and Gold even more so

(Thats why once people are high SR youll rarely see them drop back down even if they arent that clean)

Nah you need silver SR for most, gold for some. I think the weekly specials you can be bronze tho

But you also need either Good driver or Trusted driver to enter those

Either way the majority of the events unlock once the system knows youre a semi clean driver

I have an 18nm simagic setup on a trak racer rig. I'd still do it for the thrill though. Not that I have a chance on LMU atm anyways. There's math to it ya. Depends on your viewing area and distance from the screen. When you set it up right its supposed to be more immersive and tricks your mind into thinking youre driving.

seat position is up to you, but you can find calculators online where you put your screen info and distance and it will give you a list of settings to use by game. LMU uses vertical FOV so its a little different. iRacing has a calculator built in

I'd be shocked if the one guy didn't get banned. It was even in a gold race. At one of the Paul Riccard layouts, a gt3 lost the rear on their own in the final lap and took it out on 4 or 5 people by the time they finally quit out. That was probably the worst I've experienced in game so far.

imo 6 feels like it slides a bit, a bit unstable under heavy braking. 9 is much more stable, but i felt like it was pretty intense for understeer. Couldn't really trail nicely into some corners w/ 9. I personally go with 6, but you gotta realize that the car might slide a bit

you look at the event leaderboard. if you arent top 10, only the top 2 times qualify so if you arent one of those, your position doesnt really matter. there are no "points" its based on race time
