Might have a hard time finding someone with the time to teach you that everything part. Being more specific with help is the best bet but if you arwnt familiar with wheel, take time to get familiar. No one can really teach you how to use it.

at speed, you only have about 20 degrees of steering input in either direction regardless of the car

the issue is after that 20 degrees it kicks in both over and understeer. the amount of steering I need is up for me to decide based on the rotational limit of the individual car

this is a carryover on the way the game limits steering and filters it to be able to be playable on controller

forza is the ONLY game that so much as flirts with the idea of simulation that does this

Engine braking puts a braking force on the rear tires abd rotates the car more. You dont have to brake for T1 for example.

So the deal with backstage cars is that, they are not purchasable. Those cars can only be obtained through events or wheelspins, which makes them, in a way "rare". SO when people see one pop up in auction house for money, they tend to buy it out insantly. It always depends on the car ofc, but this is the case most of the time

Considering youre on the wrong settings that's very good.

No abs, engine brake a lot, and use manual with clutch. You dont actually press clutch on race transmissions, just drive it like it's manual.

Automatic has sub optimal shift points and shifts slower. You also cant engine brake properly. 1:07.6 is really good for automatic though.

Shifting should be X and B, I have handbrake and clutch swapped too. So if I do need to clutch I can hit both buttons with my thumb.

Remember you dont actually press clutch. Also if youre braking hard enough to spin you're braking way too hard. Turn off abs so you can get a better feel.

Ok hear me out. The key to turning is engine braking. If you brake too hard it kills the engine brake effect. Thats why most people dont even brake T1.

Good luck, just know you dont need a wheel for forza. Majority of the top drivers play on controller even if they have a wheel. If youre getting a wheel youd be better off on ACC, LMU, or iRacing if you can afford it.

Wheel is better for oval and sweepers, controller does better on tighter tracks with chicanes and quick transitions. There's pros and cons to both. The main issue is forza's weird FFB, you have to tune the settings to make it feel right.

Any good wheel is going to have more settings than you know what to do with. Theres also all the in game settings that need tuning. Its a process but its much more fun on wheel.

Personal preference really tbh. For me there is no way I could play in third person, I couldn't do it, however some can and would struggle in first person.

The Camera angle wouldn't affect the speed of the car. However it would affect the sense of speed. E.g. nose camera feels faster than cockpit camera, however there is no actual speed difference, it just feels quicker.

Either slam downshift 6th to 3rd and no brake it, or brake a little as you drop 6th to 3rd. It would be beneficial to learn how to no brake it so you get a feel for engine braking.

Also need to use all the track and curbing, almost into the grass to setup entry. You're aiming for the white line by the inside the curb on entry. If you're wide, the car goes wide and screws up T2. If you touch the (inside) curb it also pushes you wide. Just have to hit the line and send it.

Easiest way to learn is watch replays with telemetry on.

When you're watching the replay pause it at the start, switch to "game camera" and enable to heart looking icon, that's telemetry. Then you can watch how their doing it. Use the triggers to rewind and fast forward.

I feel like hitting T5 right is half the battle, getting the right exit to set it up. I was catching grass trying to stay wide and it delayed entry and kept sending me wide. So I'd get like .4/.5's

T5 is 6th to 3rd like T1, then ebrake and up to 4th before throttle.

T7 I think the biggest mistakes are catching grass setting it up, or over braking so the ebrake sends you into the grass inside. Focusing on exaggerating the engine brake into amphitheater helped me the most.

But it's the same rhythm downshifting, ebraking, and upshifting in all 3 corners. So once you get the cadence of it down you have all 3 of those corners figured out.

@hardy prism @urban oasis @quasi drum Here's my proposition for the fuel load glitch. We just finished running a test lobby with 8 people. We had tuning allowed and I shared a stock tune for everyone. The lobby did show the tune creator for everyone and nothing broke going from track to track. The fuel load did change on occasion going track to track, but since we could adjust fuel load before race it didn't matter.

To see the tune creator in lobby, press Y for the driver list, and then Y again to "sort driver card". It tells you livery and tune creator there.

I believe this is the solution, turn it into a spec race. Have a race admin share a stock tune and have everyone download it for the races, then enable fuel and tire.

Bowkett, Vettel, Legacy, and myself, think it will be better racing like this as well. Since we'll have softs and less fuel load, the cars drive a lot better. 🍻

@tribal matrix We have been made aware of issues with both Stock-only and Tuning-allowed, so this ruling is not an easy one to make.

@edgy current and other community members have offered a few solutions, such as having a mandated tuning that would be inspected before each race. However, this would not be possible with our current plan for live races, as we will not be able to perform race restarts or disqualifications on the live broadcast.

If there are future seasons of the G Challenge on Forza, we can re-assess and collaborate with the community on an updated ruleset, but for this season we will need to proceed with the Stock tuning as defined in the racing rules. If we do not live stream races in the future, then we can apply more restrictive rules and gentlemen's agreements.

The way this game works is to put you in the same fuel you got in the last pit stop you made in a previous session, may it be possible to set the quali to 1 more lap and just make it mandatory to everyone to get into box to get mediums and 100%, you can check the amount of fuel in the spectator mode and it´s going to be clear if someone gets soft, if i¡anyone have any different thing from mediums and 100% fuel a dq will be the solution

I was doing some testing with @grim viper and @vast cove regarding forcing stock tuning & fuel/tires. We think we have a reliable solution that doesn't add extra time to the timetable & broadcast and makes it fair for everyone. We found that if you make a lobby, and keep tuning open, this allows people to set tires & fuel to softs and 5% respectively. Once everyone does that, you can change the "Allow Tuning" option to stock. This should save the fuel & tires option, and it will flag anyone that tries to use an adjusted setup saying they need to change their car. What this means is we are all running the same setup, and we can ensure that everyone has a choice to run the same fuel & tires. We found as well that this only has to be done before the first race at Spa, and it will hold even after track changes. So to summarize, what we are asking is:

1. Please open lobby before official start, have "Allow Tuning" set to "Open" to allow for fuel & tire changes
2. Before race begins, please change "Allow Tuning" to "Stock" to ensure no one runs custom setups. It'll keep cars that are stock but have 5% fuel and softs, but tell users who try to change numbers their car is not valid
   a) If you change fuel & tires but not setup, you should be fine to run the car you're in
   b) If you try to change both the fuel & tires and the setup itself, the game tells you the car is invalid as it should
3. Begin first race & run program as normal, no need to do this after each eace. Competitors should see their fuel & tires stay to where they had it before the "Allow Tuning" option was forced to stock

Please let me know if this works and I'm curious to hear what others think of this. I think this allows for a far more fair competition where the winner isn't decided by who the game allows to have the least fuel. I'm also happy to test this out further if necessary

We practiced this on our own but we'd be happy to run practice lobbies with admins/other drivers before the races to learn how to do this - and to really test the reliability of this. From what we found, it allows everyone to run on minimum fuel and soft tyres whilst still racing in stock cars. It would eliminate the randomness of the fuel bug, with the only downside being that everyone would likely have to join the lobby a bit earlier to sort their fuel out. We dont think it would impact broadcast times as it could be done before the broadcast starts
