Majority of the top times are on controller. SeldomLegacy for example has a 1:43.5. Wheel can hit top pace but generally people don't use it on forza even if they have it.

Remember forza's a game so you have to figure out what makes the game tick rather than applying real life or iracing logic to it.

all sim steering does is reduce the damping between steering direction changes, hence why you will tank slap with it on and can' t do the same on normal steering. to actually find a gain with that reduced damping you have to be near the limit of what the car can do.

Cars feel absolutely horrendous to drive at 0 self alignment. I've left it at 100 since my first time on FM'23, and now it's what I'm used to, so setting it to anything less than 100 feels terrible. I'm sure I could get used to it, but self alignment is more personal preference than anything.

there's no confirmation email you're registered as long as you filled out the info and hit submit. It says "Thank you for submitting" after you hit submit

If you're concerned fill it out a second time but if you spam entries you get DQ'd. 2 wont hurt though

You just need more seat time in the car if you're over 2 minutes. At that point you're still learning the basics. Fastest way is to watch the top replays and study gearing, shift points, telemetry, brake points etc. Take it all in and reverse engineer what they're doing. About it, that and practice.

I tried tuning the M23, but nothing I did could get it feeling quite right. I was able to make it so I could get around corners without needing to handbrake, but then I faced an issue where the car wasn't getting grip fast enough and it just cost me more time than gained. On the other end of the spectrum, I was able to get the car to grip better, but then it came at the cost of once again having to handbrake through each corner. I've now completely given up and am just using a tune I found off the storefront. 😅

I'm using a tune from XNY 1. It's not perfect, but it's certainly better than stock and feels better than anything I could come up with.

This needs to be made more clear and apparent. I missed out last season when about 4 people from NA no-call no-showed. I ended up one spot out of a quali position. Turns out I and 3 others could've made the actual races.

Frustrating for those that may be just missing out to know that people didn't even bother to show up.

I know you guys shouldn't be responsible for tracking people down to ensure they show up, but maybe a event check in a week or so prior to the semi's? That way people can be subbed in if there will be absences. If people don't respond 24-hours prior to event, sub them out and the next-in-line in?

Will help some players get in, will also help you guys ensure that you've got a nice full grid for each region.

One thing that helps a lot and that most people on the podium do is to push the car to its limits, in this case going all the way to the end of the gear (red bar) this helps when changing gears, making you gain more speed.

hey i just got myself a g25 wheel and in the logitech software the gears all appear as 5th when i put the shifter up, either it being 1st or 3rd and when i do it down they're all 6th, how do i fix this

Ya especially since they change with the time of day. Not a terrible idea if it's a fixed time progression and you know the time of day though. I had that problem on laguna, I was using the shadow off the bridge leading into the left kink before the corkscrew. Threw me off when I practice with the actual lobby settings. 🤣

Are you using the same assists as well? The only assist that's preference is ABS. You need to take off TCS, use manual (because of the trans it has), and put a lot of time in to learn the car. Took me ~100 laps to hit a low 45 and ~1000 laps to hit a low 44. Better drivers hit 43's in 10 laps, just a skill issue.

It's more so getting used to the forza mechanics. Abusing engine brake to rotate the car, rolling throttle on exit etc. You're probably driving too safe. It's a weird car, you have to drive slower to driver faster. Pretty much what Thanos said.

I've found that there's significant time to be gained through the chicane. You've gotta send it and hope for the best. Once you get to the 500 marker on the left side, engine brake to gear 5 and turn as close to the right railing as possible.

Right before entering the mid section of the chicane, downshift to gear four and go full send. You'll mow the grass through the end, but that's how it is. Then from there, it's a matter of carrying that momentum through the rest of the lap (which is of course way easier said than done). I'm currently sitting at a 43.712. Bowkett's 42.8xx is absolutely ludicrous. Dude's from another planet!

@rough sedge Hi, how are you? I have received for the second time the mail to register for the semi-final races on February 22 and 23, I have participated in a local store run event. At the end of the mail it mentions that:

“Please contact the Discord administrators immediately to confirm your position in the races. If you do not register by Monday, February 17, your spot will be forfeited and provided to the next qualified driver.”

I would like to know if I will be noted somewhere or how I can confirm that this step is met so I don't lose my spot.

Knowing Tobin, I doubt he did very many laps. If he put in the effort, he could easily be challenging the top times. He's very busy nowadays, so Forza isn't much of a priority anymore. Him and @wanton frigate were a legendary duo. 🙌 👑
