The key skill to learn for this combo is downshifting aggressively to both slow the car down and also get the car to turn. It’s difficult to explain, but most of the replays you’ll watch you’ll be able to hear it. Rolling the thumb stick around the controller casing also helps to keep your steering inputs smooth like a steering wheel in the fast stuff

It helps but it's not an easy mechanic. The way you manage your momentum going into an e-brake is similar to setting up a drift. Momentum, throttle, and how you hit the button all factor into the reaction. Just have to play with it for a while until you understand what you're trying to do.

Easiest thing to do is watch top replays with telemetry open and study what they're doing and why they're doing it. Reverse engineer the lap basically.

I tried getting track titan to see my telemetry but id love it if forza could make so that in every race practice i can see the telemtry and get a drone style camera to see the optimal racing line and where i was compared to the track and conpare with the leaderboard it would me me a bunch but the telemetry will help just is there a way to slow it down

You use manual with clutch and drive like it's manual, don't need to actually hit the clutch with a race transmission in FM.

Yes the finals are no braking line too, but we can tune and it's dynamic track rubber so there's more grip. Tbf though you can't get the time with heavy assists on. Abs and tcs are one thing but anything more and you're just handicapping yourself

I memorize which gear I have to go through each curve, and so I don't have to look, I count the gear in my head so I don't have to look.

when it comes to the mental game, slower cars always help. anytime there's something specific you need to practice, driving a car that plain simply takes longer to do anything will give you more time to think about what you're doing. after maybe half an hour you can hop back on the faster stuff, and it'll click sooner.

alternatively, just go more slowly. don't press the pedals fully, brake earlier, you'll have plenty of headroom to work things out

there is a little rubber stopper in the G29/G920 (NOT the G923) pedals you can remove to make them lighter but it makes them fully linear like the gas and cluth. There are also mods you can buy to change the way it feels. Nothing will make it a load cell (except a load cell mod) but it might make it nicer to use

and if you are paying the money to mod thos pedals into a load cell, youd be better off just buying new proper load cell pedals

For a typical player who just occasionally picks up the game and isn't super invested in any competitive-play, breaking the worldwide top 500 on a leaderboard is pretty good.

Unfortunately, as you're aware, you've gotta be SIGNIFICANTLY higher than that to actually qualify for events like the LMGC. The top 1% on a leaderboard with 40,000 people is 400th place, and while that's not bad for the typical player, 400th place is far from qualifying for competitions like the LMGC, which is the top 10 in each region. Therefore, for big events with prizes up for grabs, anything less than the top 0% won't cut it.

While Forza is nowhere near the level of competitiveness as say Trackmania, it's still pretty tough. Getting to the level of guys like Bowkett is no easy task, and the people who think they can pick up the game and immediately be among the best are in for a world of disappointment. It's not as competitive as other games, but it still requires an immense amount of skill to reach that very pinnacle level.

Read the manual on your wheel and open the settings menu. You need to get a feel for the settings or youre better off on controller lol

You set the range of motion etc. Im assuming youre at 720 degrees on the wheel and need to turn it up to say 900. If its too sensitive you need more degrees of rotation to spread it out. Theres a lot more settings than that, just an example.

I dont have a wheel atm, going off past experience. The main thing is making it feel comfortable / natural to use. Read what settings do and then tinker with them one by one so you get a feel for what they change. You'll figure it out, once its dialed the whole experience will be more immersive.

Ya just use manual with clutch, but we don't need to clutch with a race trans anyways. It drives like manual, hitting the clutch is slower. If you do need to actually use the clutch switching handbrake + clutch button help.

if you are needing to ask these questions, you are not at a level in any of the games that you would need to be at to be noticed by an esports org. you don't just rock up and sign to a team. you get good at the game, move up into the top level over time and become a part of the pro community for the game and then once you are proven you start to be considered for an org.

I genuinely believe if I was able to do it close to anyone can. When I started in 2016, I was about as bad as they came.

The first leaderboard I "sweated" was the first qualifier Rival for the first ForzaRC season in summer 2016, and it was quite the humbling experience when I couldn't even get within 5 seconds of Laige. I thought it would be so easy because I was used to how people drove in hoppers.

Besides the Rival qualifier, there was also a ForzaRC league hopper that was run simultaneously, and I managed to get up to 3rd in the league overall, but that was completely meaningless as the rankings were based on time played and races completed rather than any true skill. I thought the Rival would be more of the same, and, well... I couldn't have been more wrong. 😂 😅

ACC, iRacing, and r factor 2 are the main ones. Theres teams in forza but we're competing for fun. If the game was bigger there'd be sponsors etc. But with a launch like they had we're just here to race.

Iracing holds a "ROAR before the 24" event that happened recently that saw 8200 participants and necessitated 140 different splits. I think that may have been over the week/weekend tho since thats how their rotation works normally

Exactly, if you want exposure you want to get into the top split of one of those bigger sim races. TORA, Racing Haven, and Team Wars are the biggest Forza leagues. Then there's other community leagues like eMotorsport Championship, PTG, Sunshine Racing League, etc. I have a bunch of discord links on my twitch. None are run by T10 though, closest would be PTG since they're affiliated with T10 but that's still a community team.

It was super frustrating, as right when my pace reached a point where I felt as though I'd stand a reasonable chance, the ForzaRC was cancelled.

There have thankfully been other competitions like LateShift and the LMGC, but the ForzaRC was different. Whatever the case, I'm glad we've got the LMGC.

After LateShift, I thought that would be the end of Forza's "pro" competitive scene. I'm glad I was wrong. The LMGC is basically the only reason I play Forza nowadays.

I find regular multiplayer lobbies incredibly unfulfilling, and I'm not a huge fan of class-based Rivals. The divisional / homologated leaderboards were my favorite part of FM7, and it sucks that they didn't make a return.

Just copy the top times on the leaderboard. I haven't checked it yet but most likely no assists, braking line, manual with clutch. In semis and finals you can't use any assists, not even braking line.

Should go without saying but you'll want to read the rules in #1304143955079725168 . It explains how the event works and lists lobby settings, combinations, dates etc. 99% of questions are answered in the rules.

To find time just study replays off the leaderboard, the answers to the test are right there. Make sure you enable telemetry and change camera to game view so you can actually see what they're doing.

1. It helps to swap handbrake and clutch so you shift by hitting A+X or A+B with your thumb.

2. You don't actually press the clutch button with a race transmission. You drive like manual but it shifts faster. You only have to hit clutch on stock/sport trans.

Feel like 44.6 is my peak and not sure if I'm missing something with my settings on controller. Can't seem to figure out ABS off as soon as I touch the brakes they lock up and I'm on sim steering. Not sure if normal is quicker?
