The codec still has nothing to do with "G Hub doesn't detect a peripheral that is clearly connected to the computer", which means that being able to use it to set audio settings or mic filters is...there's no need to restrict it.

Consider me warned. My actual complaint is with some product VP who is keeping a very easy code change from being pushed because they want to sell a 30 dollar proprietary dongle. But Logitech seems to insulate their c suite as much from us as is possible.

I do. But it would also be way simpler and deal with a TON of their product complaints (firmware updates, etc) if they just made it detectable for g hub with Bluetooth.

And when I get a response back from them, maybe it'll all be fixed. And if it is just a dongle issue? I do promise a personalized apology to anyone I flamed.

I know. It's not on them. Some c suite guy cheaped out on outsourcing because he can't run WFO or other scheduling software right and thought he'd look good scheduling lean. Usually how it goes. No offense to the support team. 99% of the time issues with them are either staffing, failure to do proper pathing, or failure to keep proper knowledge bases.

And by "cheaper out" I don't mean cheaped out by. I mean he didn't hire enough crew to handle demand or schedule for it, or allot sufficient funds for it.

It's just really frustrating to not know how to code, to know enough to know it's a bad idea to try and vibe code through an LLM, to know that there's an easy fix, to know a dude could literally request that easy fix and get it done in a couple days, and to know it probably won't happen because they're that insulated, and because of that?

An entire genre of trouble tickets, chats, calls, and emails exists. Because one dude doesn't know what to rubber stamp. It's absurdity.

I'm not an expert on bluetooth vs wifi but the arguments seemed pretty clear to me. Latency and possibly corrupting firmware which would brick the device. I'm a wired purist though so I'm not much help on this one. lol

If you can yes, I had my Elgato capture card brick because the software screwed up the firmware update and didn't let me reinstall after. Elgato makes you use their 4k capture software to update it, but when you run the program it automatically starts capturing. I had the HDMI's unplugged as part of the update procedure so I didn't notice until it already started the update. lol talk about a terrible design.

The only reason anyone would use that software is to update firmware. If the card is running while updating it kills it. So they designed the software to auto capture on launch.

Also their support documentation tells you "if you have this problem update the firmware." then when the firmware breaks they have another page that say "Do not update firmware unless advised by a support agent".

I'm glad Logitech isn't like Elgato that's for sure.

Weird. I went through something similar with like Astros where you had to actually time the resets and updates because the way it would do it automatically would keep it from charging, thus causing it to power off while downloading and getting into a loop like that.

But like...it's weird that it wouldn't have a full factory reset.

Is the dongle reconnecting itself to windows? Or is the headset having trouble staying connected to the dongle? You're saying it's a voltage issue resetting the device, so I'm guessing there's a windows notification for a new device detected?

i need help my g pro superlight wont pair to my computer. When i plug my mouse into my computer it works fine and G hub recognizes the device. However, when I try to set up lightspeed pairing, the mouse will not pair. When I plug in the pro usb into the dongle, i get a pop up on the Ghub app that says a device is ready to pair. It begins the pairing process and tells me to turn off my mouse and turn it back on, which when i do, it doesn't do anything and just says it cannot pair. I just got this usb as a replacement. The firmwear on the mouse is up to date and I have tried different usb ports on my computer.

Apparently G hub can be a bit iffy when pairing, so if you go on logitech's support page and use onboard memory manager, it should be better. It'll take some time, but it should work eventually.

I have a G305 and am looking at the G502 hero (on sale on amazon, not looking for mouse recommendations) and looking at the "Specs and compatibility" page for both, the G502 hero seems to have H/W/D and the G305 has L/W/D. Additionally, it says that the G502 hero has a height of 11.42 inches. Does anyone know which way it is almost a foot long? This seems really unintuitive to me.

Very likely a spoof of some sort. I do not believe that the server-owner account (the one mentioned above) is regularly used for such verifications. I believe personnel or a bot/ticket will handle such things.
You can forward the messages to a Logitech Moderator to help ensure the account is handled appropriately.

Forwarding is important if you don't know how to get a User ID to actually check the account.

however if your game/g hub doesnt support adding pedal deadzones, then you may have to send your pedals in to logitech to get them checked out if you still have warranty

carbon is typically difficult to mass produce unless its something that only requires it be cut into squares or panels so its hard to really say what the cost to make them would be. You only need to look at finalmouses constant delays and QC issues with the ULX as proof of how difficult it can be

Hi, does anyone know the issue to a logitech g920 wheel where the clutch does not work, clutch is saying its pressed by itself but only a small amount is being presed down. While using the brkaes, it uses the clutch when im not even using the clutch. I took my wheel pedals apart and cleaned them with some wd40, back then i had an issue with ghost brakign and i cleaned the inside with wd40 and it solved it, but this time i cleaned it twice and im stil having the same issue with the clutch not working at all

uh i have a problem, (in any game) when i move my mouse, the game lags very much to like 10 fps but the same i do with touchpad it doesnt. i use logitech g102, software logitech ghub. also happens when logitech gaming software installed, and only moving the mouse does this. before the mouse didnt did these things and was good, its like 3 days before came to know this happening

DPI is Dots Per Inch. Often also used is PPI Pixel Per Inch. These are measurements about how fast or how much the mouse moves for every physical inch the mouse is moved. The higher the number, the faster the movement.

Polling Rate refers to how often the mouse sends movement information to the computer. A Polling rate of 1 would be 1 measurement per second, which would be egregious to try and work with. However 125-250 is great for office work and gamers often like 500+. Generally it effects how smooth your movement above feels... but you can have smooth slow motion as well, doesn't need to be fast.

My bad.. been a hot minute since I've had to pair.

For the G733 you can find a metal pin or anything else to reset the dongle. There should be a reset port on the USB receiver you can poke until it starts blinking.

Then you can turn your headset on and hold the mute 🔇 button. Usually about 15 seconds until the light on the USB receiver stops blinking.

Let us know if that works out.

I believe on the G733 there is a small pin hole to reset it in the left earmuff. Try reseting your G733. Doing the steps above, except instead of just turning on the G733 try plugging it into your computer along with the receiver then turning it on to hold the mute button.

  1. Reset G733 via the pinhole in the left earmuff.
  2. Turn off the headset.
  3. Insert USB receiver and push the pinhole until pairing blinking starts.
  4. Plug in the G733 via USB cord and turn on if needed.
  5. Hold mute 🔇 for 15 seconds.
  6. Profit (hopefully!)

Okay now I know this is not the help youre looking for, but rapid trigger is only useful for games that have specific types of movement, valorant and cs being the prime targets for this stuff. If its problematic for you in fortnite (and since the game doesnt benefit from rapid trigger as much as other games), you could outright disable it.

Not necessarily. Without any other information could be so many things.

  • Make sure you're not using the wire while troubleshooting. The wire will override the USB receiver.
  • Otherwise the USB receiver shouldn't be too close to the mouse, nor too far away.
  • Hopefully you have a secondary mouse/trackpad/ ability to control the setup and ensure you just don't have a DPI that's busted. If its a bad value or too low it may seem like its not moving?
  • Did some goober friend play a prank and tape your sensor? 😛
  • You'd otherwise want to ensure you have good drivers from G Hub.

I think the intent for bluetooth on it is to hear if your phone rings while on the pc or ps5, not really to be its own dedicated channel

I have bought a mouse, keyboard and headphones, last year in November. Until now the only thing that still works is the mouse. I also am a very gentle person with my stuff. The keyboard I hit it only once but after it made me crazy for not working. I used to have some Chinese trash keyboard. Wasn't nice for 10$ but 10 times better. I changed it back since it works better than logitech. I opened a ticket on the 26th, still no answer... Logitech for me is a never again thing to buy. The "d" key not working properly, the headset has problems at volume level, mic and cable, tho the cable was never stretched or misused

thats what I thought, just wanted to make sure. really the only boards that make sense for gaming anymore are hall effect/analogs but there will always be a market for cheaper alternatives, especially from big brands like logi and razer

ngl with how good the optical linears are (in terms of the actuation point) i feel like getting anything he or analog is useless, the second i got this keyboard i was already hitting much more consistent inputs (and now im no longer limited by inputs, i have movement with sufficient consistency to win most of my fights)

the main things youd get with the analogs, assuming razer has feature paradoy with wooting and logitech, is picking an actuation point per key to increase responsiveness and rapid trigger to allow keys to disable on up travel instead of a set point. both of these are more for responsiveness but the effect would only be maybe 5-10% over what you can do with normal switches

I swapped off my rapid recently and I felt I was moving a little more sluggish but its just because my movement keys werent actuation at 1.0mm I have set instead of the 3ish the board I swapped to was. you get readjusted fast but its noticable

Hello everyone. There are problems on the g923. First, it is the clutch pedal. Sometimes it is pressed by itself in the range of 0-10 percent. And also if you press it fully, but weakly, it starts to fluctuate at the end of the axis. Do I need to disassemble the pedal and clean the sensor?
Second, in Beamng.drive the steering wheel sometimes starts to turn in different directions, but not all the way. A friend has the same problem on the g920

Is there a reason you believe the transmitters are the culprit as opposed to the transmitter in the headphones? Do those work otherwise fine plugged in? Without even knowing what type, did you follow the guides? Some headsets may have slightly different settings. thats not bluetooth, all gaming wireless headsets use a 2.4ghz dongle. blueooth introduces noticable latency which is nmot ideal for games, so blueooth is usually the last thing you would want to use

Since it wasn't mentioned... I would try to reset the headphones. Depending on headset, that process may slightly differ like in my previously posted link. IF you have the headset type I can help lookup that process.

This does feel like a hard reset would be beneficial since it wasn't mentioned. Otherwise, do they work when wired? This would rule out other components in the headset as opposed to anything with the system/receivers.

If you're asking about a reset, perhaps that wasn't tried? Its one of the steps that could help with pairing. It's recommend to reset both the headset and the receiver. Although you don't always need to reset the headset, since holding mute will enter pairing mode. However, if something got wonkly a reset of the headset could help.

I would also double-check to make sure you haven't disabled anything in devvice manager.
Check on any Logitech headset and microphone.
If you disable some of the device the whole device will be inactive.
Sometimes people disable a microphone on a headset to use a dedicated one, but if you do that in windows it shuts down the whole headset.. just reminded me of that.
