I have no data to suggest otherwise but an interesting thing to think about with a company the size of logitech is scale. If logitech sells 1,000,000 mice and 1% of those people have an issue, thats still 10,000 people so with higher numbers that obviously scales with it

I suspect part of the issue may be the games. Google has people mentioning similar issues inPC2 and FH5 (and most forza games) have terrible wheel optimization

You mean "use something" ingame ? I currently drive GT3 so the steering limit ingame for this car is actually what I try to reach (540 degrees) but I'm not sure to fully understand your question

PC2 should be using whatever rotation limit the actual car has irl. so 900 for something like a road car, and probably closer to 180-360 for a formula car

the G29 (and its cousins) are some of the weakest wheels on the market so overpowering the motor wouldnt take much if its mounted securely

With FFB based rotation lock, it's the motor trying to push against you once you reach your lock, and with these wheels being ass, the FFB can easily be beaten by your arms

Sure, thats an ez answer 😄 I wanted to use the settings available to match the game for more realism, simple as that. And also see if it would improve feedback and driving or not, to use less rotation

It won't change any of that, and even if you want realism, be honest, are you EVER going to have your wheel turned 270 degrees on either side ?

I find myself using 135 degrees on either side at most, because there's just simply no scenario where you steer that much (unless you're trying to parallel park a gt3, in which case, you are clearly the goat)

Also I just thought of something, if you're gonna be steering at 270 degrees in a corner, you will never feel the rotation lock anyways, the FFB whilst in a corner will probably max out before you reach the 270, and then once you go past, well your FFB is still maxed out, so it just can't resist against your movement

The only moment you could ever feel the rotation lock would probably be if you're stationary

if you are able to use the USB card that comes with them in a console, you are able to save the EQ to that card, but that needs to be done in GHub on a PC. Thats the first hurdle. Once there, you can browse community EQs to see if you can find anything you like and save it to that USB card

Logitech kind of markets the Astro brand as their dedicated console offering which is why the G stuff is usually so limited to PC

the Pro X wired were expensive when they came out too, but I think astro has a few things that are not too expensive.

licensing for consoles is expensive so it tends to just get added to the cost of the headset

.. but overall you want to plug the headset in to your PC via the USB DAC mentioned in the documentation and install and run G Hub. There you can set your EQ settings or likely just find some that look good via the community search functionality.
Steps:

1. Plug in your headset via the USB DAC to your PC.
2. Install G Hub and set up your EQ to where you can hear. Lots of EQs for specific games/audio queues.
3. Ensure the settings are saved and move the USB DAC and headset over to your console where the settings will be remember on the USB DAC and are hopefully better.

I have a question. Has the chatter problem of G Pro X TKL Rapid been resolved?

Ive had a TKL rapid since it released and seen a few reviews of it and never experienced or heard a review mention anything about chatter. I dont think this is a thing that was ever an issue

The results show that chatter occurs when the rapid trigger is set to 0.4mm or less. You can see this in the videos of Rting and other YouTubers.

i kinda broke my right mouse switch on g305

it requires almost 0 force to activate the switch which results in ton of accidental inputs & theres almost no clicking noise when pressing the switch

obviously the easiest way would be to just buy a new mouse / new switches, but is there a DIY way to fix this?

so the switch will need to come out and there are a few options beyond that. You can desolder it if the PCB its attached to isnt broken then solder a new switch on (or do both so they match since it might be hard to find a single of that switch) the other option is to get a hot-swap pcb for that mouse and also get new switches so you can just socket new ones in after replacing that pcb in teh mouse. Either way you need to open it up and do some work on it. The tricky part is that the G305 is cheap enough where it may not make sense to throw more money at it. Switches are cheap but that hot swap pcb is going to cost about half as much as a new unit would.

This is generally doable with G Hub's LUA which supports operations such as:

• PressAndReleaseKey()
  • -# This can be used to press the e key programatically.
• MoveMouseRelative() or MoveMouseTo()
  • -# These can be used to control how far a mouse moves from its current position or to move to a specified position.
• You can also add macros you build with the user-interface macro builder as well!

I don't believe there is a way to do this without LUA, as I'm not positive the user-interface macro builder supports mouse-movement. Maybe someone can chime in if so though..

you should stop listening to people that have said glorious is insanely good, their qc is a dice roll at best. Every glorious mice I have ever had ended up with issues. The Model O wireless I had, I went thru 4 RMAs with defective clicks and scroll wheels before they refused to send me another stating my standards were to high and just refunded me. Even most reviewers end up with quality issues

Hey, just wondering, I saw the G502X has "hybrid" switches. I started avoiding mechanical switch mice due do double clicking. The MM720 has been great, but sadly the cord is garbage and keeps breaking, so I need a replacement.

Do the switches on the 502X have the double click problem?

the hybrid switches in there are opticals. Im not sure you have the option go back and forth between optical and hybrid on that mouse like you can on the gpx2, but those lightforce switches are not reliant on the mechanical mechanism to register. I have not seen any widespread reports of those switches double clicking

no-not hot swap. the hybrid thing is a battery saving feature where if not used for a while it will disengage the optical portion until its re-engaged which will make them a mechanical switch for a very small amount of time. on the gpx2 you can over-ride that and force optical only but I dont think the 502X has that option. I think the encoder and side buttons are still mech tho, I dont really know of any mice that have moved to opticals for those buttons (it may exist tho, I just havent caught wind of it)

in the literal sense of going into device maanger and seeing who the driver provider is, there is no "Logitech Driver". Ghub is a layer on top that is able to open up the full functionality, so unfortunatly the thing you are looking for does not actually exist

I have it and unless you have all 3 platforms, not really. The only reason you would need it over the A50 Gen 5 at $300 is for Game/Chat mix on PlayStation. What platform/console are you on?

You can’t do game/chat mix on PlayStation with the Gen 5. That requires the A50X because PlayStation doesn’t allow 3rd party headsets to do game/chat separation without putting game audio over HDMI and chat audio coming through HDMI like the X allows.

well, youll be able to actually utilize the entire pedal travel but it will feel less stiff since the rubber effectively stops movement and the new spring just increases resistance thru the travel. so itll be softer than with the stopper, but the effect is the pedal is much more usable

I have a Logitech G604 and I love it. I want button 5 and button 6 to be forward and back respectively in a "Work" profile, and I want them to be "E" and "LShift" in a "Gaming" profile.

I've disabled all Games & Applications as I do not want automatic profile switching. Instead, I've created multiple profiles under Desktop.

However, if I click my "Gaming" profile and adjust my buttons, then go back to the main menu and click my "Work" profile to go back to work mode, the buttons that were previously "Forward" and "Backward" are now "E" and "LShift"

Im not sure why modifying one profile is modifying other profiles.

check out the superlight 2 dex, its an ergo mouse so it may be a bit of a different feel but is the biggest mouse logitech has on the gaming side at the moment, but outside of that, zowie and pulsar both make good mice and they specifically offer larger sizing on most models but they dont offer the number of buttons, very few mice do anymore

depepnds on how much you value the type c charging, optical switches and higher polling. Those are really the only differences, and even the higher polling is debatable on actual value since its mostly a difference that you wont notice at the cost of battery life, down to about 20-30 hours in the case of 8k if the game you play even supports it

in fact 8k polling rate comes with more disadvantages than advantages:
you have increased CPU usage, shorter battery life, and the signal is more vulnerable to interference

some games outright WON'T work at all, and will have glitchy mouse movement.

anyways, going past 1000hz is not going to give any real improvement it's all placebo, 1000hz means you have a signal every 1ms, 2000hz is once every 0.5ms, 4000hz is once every 0.25, and 8000hz is once every 0.125. Keeping in mind that even if you had the world's highest refresh rate monitor (600hz), there would only be one screen refresh every 1.6ms. A 1000hz mouse is still sufficient. But let's be honest, 99% of people won't have a 600hz monitor, most likely 360hz or below, so the difference will never be felt by anyone.

I use 2000 hz solely because its a perfect balance between battery life, not needing more resources, working in almost everything (tho Ive noticed a few in older games that can struggle) and having the highest likleyhood to have a noticeable improvement (even tho I am not performing noticeably any differently in anything I play). Using a mouse-pad surface I prefer vs not offers a larger performance gain than polling.

Polling rate increases offer NO gain unless you're playing on abysmal polling rates. And even then, it might not be that big of an impact, I was playing a game at one point, felt my sensor inputs felt delayed, I checked my mouse software and it turned out I was at 125hz, but I still maintained a performance as good as usual.

I dont think these 2 are really intended to be cross-shopped. The G435 is a budget, entry wireless headset and the Pro X is from their top offering (albeit surpassed by the Pro X 2 now). The best in that comparison is easily the pro X, doesnt matter wired or wireless. The G435 is just straight up missing features the Pro X has. No usage in ghub which means no audio eq, and no mic eq. 435 also doesnt have a boom mic and just has mics on the earcups which do not sound good as a result since they are nowhere near your mouth. The 435 is only better if thats the furthest your budget will take you

You have an Astro a50. Inside is some purpose-built circuit board for their headset circuit board, so any bugs or problems can only be from. Some problem with the headset jack your
pc/console (I don’t know what you use) or a hardware problem with the headset’s circuit board or other components, in which you would have to get a new one.

I am no expert so do a bit more research before taking my word.

Hello, is it possible to completely disable the TrueForce system on the Logitech G923 so that the wheel behaves exactly like a Logitech G29, using only the classic force feedback without the enhanced TrueForce effects? Is there an option directly on the wheel, in the Logitech G Hub software, or maybe a way to turn it off through in-game settings so that there is no noticeable difference compared to the G29?

no, serial numbers are only listed on the product themselves. The box they came in will also have a serial number on it but they are rarely ever the same

It is dependent on your phone, mouse, and charger type.. but usually you can use most modern phone chargers to charge gaming mice without a problem for the sake of refilling the battery. 👍

grip tape is a consumable just like mouse skates so it should be replaced every so often. Sounds like yours may be ready for that. Nothing about the grip tape should leave anything behind that damages anything so dont sweat removing it, but if you enjoy using it, maybe grab some more to replace it before removing the old stuff

the glass skate trend is mostly over so I think at this point its going to be just whoever you can find them from that still makes them

Do you use G Hub?

• You can hopefully try setting the mouse to on-board memory and changing it with Onboard Memory Manager while you get some settings reset/figured out.
• On-board memory usage will generally ensure that its a G Hub setting that got messed up somewhere which is why it still works on other computers.

If you have determined G Hub is the issue, but would still like to use it and can't find any setting that is effecting only mouse movement, you can try to reset your settings with an reinstall where you remove setttings. If it still remembers your settings you can try to delete or alter settings under:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\LGHUB\settings.db

%LOCALAPPDATA%\LGHUB should get you to the correct folder by pasting in Windows File Explorer.

If you don't use G Hub, you may have to see if there are any other software on your system that would effect mouse usage as I don't think Windows allows for complete removal of mouse movement in the standard settings.

Either way, hope you get a fix soon!

This is probably doable, but will depend greatly on the game.

You can set up G Hub LUA to listen to mouse button pressed, G-button presses (Logitech keyboards only), and M-button presses (some specialty Logitech keyboards) to do things which could involve moving the mouse position to do a 360.

This is still dependent on the game as well, since some games will have specific controls.

If you need other keys or a non-Logitech gear setup I would check out AutoHotKey... although it will still be subject to the same potential blockers from certain games

🤷 I've used it for years without issue with work and have it stay on when gaming for quality of life things. If you're using in a way that's against terms of service then that makes sense though.

Otherwise anything that detects AutoHotKey has a high chance to detect any other automated input.

I know this server saw an uptick of G Hub scripts breaking with a Rust update last month I think? I presume they were all anti-recoil style stuff which is likely against the games terms of service, but I'm not familiar with Rust. Just a heads up as well.

Glad you troubleshot to make sure that the components work.
Some additional troubleshooting may involve plugging other devices into the USB that you're using to ensure it can properly power and transmit data (like any USB drive/stick). The USB port could be disabled by: BIOS, OS settings, could be disconnected from the motherboard (especially if its a custom-build, could be dirty and simply needs to be clean...

Probably not normal. Regularly shaking the mouse shouldn't cause any loud sound as there generally isn't supposed to be loose debris or parts inside.

Generally if you just recently received it you should be able to reach out to Logitech support to check it out.

idk but what are u cleaning it with for it to wear down "fast"? i got a g502 hero and i'm not sure if the material is the same but mine is from like 4 years ago and it's useable even tho i cleaned it with alcohol a lot of times (which i do not recommend logically but it just made it feel so clean) 😭

the g502 hero and g502x are different in terms of the material for the rubber, i simply used a wet tissue with very light pressure

but over time, this rubber just degrades and its quickly become annoying to deal with as it just starts to break off
