I have a Logitech G815 keyboard and I always use num-lock. But the lamp is now constantly turned on. I want it to either be a different colour or not glow at all, is that possible?

There’s other options around the price range that are better than the SL2. Depending on your needs and what you play, it might vary.

I feel like BeastX is probably one of the more popular choices when it comes to comparing it to SL2, especially the Max version.

Fwiw the qc on the sl2 is better than wlmouse . Haven't had to take my sword x apart, but my beast x max has issues that would have either needed sent back to fix or open it up myself

Qc and support is ultimately what you are paying the premium for and logitech is much better than many other brands imo. Especially the ones that offer similar specs for lower cost.

depends. If you are using 1k, yea itll be noticeable. 2k? not really. 4k? no. If you already have the mouse, it doesnt cost any extra to try. IMO, you shouldnt buy a mouse based on 8k polling, shape is far more important. It is worth noting that 8k and even 4k in some cases will increase cpu usage and can cause reduced performance in games as well as a massive hit to battery. OOnly around 20 hours at 8k polling on the gpx2. The cpu and battery concerns are universal; across all mice when using 8k polling tho, not unique to logitech.

It may help to take a look and see if you have multiple sound applications that are managing your sound.
Generally its best to disable all sound modifications other than the one main application. For instance, if the app is Discord you generally want to remove Krisp and other audio processing and test from there.
Otherwise it may help if you are able to identify the app, if its a game there may be specific devices you want to identify instead of leaving it as default. For instance the game may be using the "calling" version of the headset which is used for some communication and is often different from the higher quality audio that isn't a "calling" or "communication" option. Try setting the G Pro X 2 microphone directly in these settings.

In my opinion be careful of Logitech mousepads. They are normally good quality for the money but have one major flaw. They do not have stitched edging on a lot of them. Stitched edging prevents most of the wear and tear from things like wrist usage and other usage that messes up the edges very quickly and wear and tear degrades rapidly from there.
I have a lot of good things to say about Logitech, but can't recommend their mousepads based on this oversight. Strangely the sponsored branded ones do have this superior stitched edging! 😛

Obviously if you're not concerned about the edges, then they are all solid choices, but just something I feel is important to bring up.

generally speaking, @loud prairie is right. if you look across multiple brands you can put together better pieces from each brand, like logi mouse, wooting KB, and Sennheiser headphones for example. Its all what you want tho. I am currently using an all logi setup but thats because I want to but also have other stuff if I want to swap out. Nothing wrong with it, just maybe not the most optimized/best value

I would never recommend someone start with being dedicated to one brand. too many good options on the market for that especially if you just want to buy once

Yeah. I’m not saying it’s bad, it feels a bit strange to have a setup dedicated to all one brand. It’s an obvious recommendation on my side here.

I mostly have SteelSeries, Endgame Gear, and Glorious. One thing I do really wanna change this to is Wooting, WLMouse, and Artisan.

To be honest, that could potentially be the endgame of peripherals for me. Unless I do decide to switch preferences later in the future. And yes, I’m that one guy who is obsessed with light gaming mice and fast keyboards 😊

I ended up going mostly Logitech for the software suite. I didn't want to run dozens of software packages for the customization I wanted. G Hub is far from perfect, but it was better than all the other software I've had experience with and/or seen roommates troubleshoot.

Overall having an easy time with warranties and not troubleshooting software has been ideal. I can work with subpar hardware, but consistently working is generally a premium for me. 😛
Things being unstable for work just isn't acceptable either. 🤷

Nothing wrong with optimized hardware for the specialties many brands bring though!

Sometimes if dirt, debris, or even liquids get in between the cracks you have to clean the inside where the sensors are. You may also find that some components inside or bent or broken that can effect the usage. Hopefully its just dirty, but that's recommended to check out first.

I've found entire wood chips inside of Nintendo DSs before. How they got inside.. who knows.. the buttons don't even have gaps that large, but easy fix to a system that otherwise could never press the up or left buttons. 😛

Trying to get the best settings for the noise cancellation using the logic G software but can’t seem to get it to clear background noise fan and ac

Generally you want to control the physical environment as much as possible then worry about the software post processing:

• For instance this microphone is different from the vast majority of the microphones shaped like it in that you talk directly into the top and not the "front". The PDF guide should give an example as well.
• You ideally want to get the microphone as close as you are able with your equipment as possible. Generally, anything within a 1 to 2 feet should be good to get rid of ambient noise like a fan, AC, quite typing, mouse-clicks and/or PC fans.

If you cannot do either of these, its going to be rough to fix in audio processing only.

However, afterwards you want to lower the gain as much as possible in to where you can still hear your voice when spoken at a normal room volume. It will be nearly impossible to get whispers working a few feet away and still stop all ambient noise. You'll simply have to do a lot of testing to find a good mix for your setup. Generally the closer the microphone the more gain you can have for clearer sounding vocals without worrying about background noise.

I must be missing something obvious. I have the G610 keyboard and I'm using G-Hub. All I want to do is assign some simple text/typing macros to a few keys. I make the Macros, I assign them to normal-mode (not G-Shift) F1 through F4 and they do nothing. F1 still does Help in Windows and such. I tried tying F6 to be G-Shift, but that doesn't seem to work either to switch to G-Shift mode. This should be simple and it just doesn't work.

You can use any standard power supply to include standard outlets to charge Logitech devices. I'm not an electrician but most outlets, even internationally, should be able supply safe levels of power and most devices will ensure they are only pulling power through resistors and other well-established means of how electricity is generally used in a safe manner as needed to function.

It's best to ensure you use cords and adapters that go into the outlet that support at a minimum the power ratings that you can find printed on your mouse (I think it's legally required). Will likely look something like: 5V --- 500mA. You can generally use a cord that provides more just fine... something with less could be problematic or best case scenario just charge slowly.
The danger is usually through overloading an outlet. Just don't plug too much stuff into a single outlet or circuit based on your breaker. 👍

when i have boom arm in like 90 degrees it manages to hold the yeti but when its being extended till the end it just cant hold the mic's weight.

It's usually the opposite, most people (including myself) have found the tension is unnecessarily and almost borderline defective in the tension being too strong!

You can hopefully check out a secondary tension screw that may be loose (came loose after moving maybe?), that is at the bottom of the arm after you detach it from the desk clamp.

If you feel you've gotten aggressive with tightening the side knobs and the screw where they are all at maximum and its still drooping, you may have to take it apart to see if any cabling is messed up. Soz.

I know I had to get what seemed like overly aggressive on the tightening to get it to where I wanted.. I think I even used a tool to get extra leverage over fingers. If its new, it may be worth seeing if they can return it.

are you talking about the logitech g pro mouse? in that case, it's stickers to put on your click buttons to get better grip and a better feeling on the mouse, i would reccomend to use them, but it's all personal prefrence!

Does the foam slot have grooves in it? Its possible it was meant to hold the buttons/covers that come with it in the box, or maybe the covers themselves:

• Optional side buttons (2x left, 2x right)
• Optional button covers (2x left, 2x right)

It's possible an extra one that didn't get cut ended up in the box by accident. I also loosely remember some older mice coming with a sticky pad to optionally use to keep the dongle receiver extension adapter that you can plug the receiver in place better such as sitting on a desk.

Either way, if you have everything that comes in the box:

• PRO Wireless Gaming Mouse
• LIGHTSPEED USB receiver
• USB charging/data cable
• Optional receiver extension adapter
• Optional side buttons (2x left, 2x right)

There will always occur scratches on all type of mouse feet eventually. Just make sure you don't have a bunch of stuff on the mouse pad making more scratches. Get a dust roller and just make sure there is no dust or hair before you use it and you don't have to worry. Also if your mouse pad is sensitivity to the dust rollers glue then simply use it a little bit on something else so it loses some grip and then use it on the mouse pad.

Hair is great and making scratches just saying. If you have pets. GGs, just get used to playing with mousefeet with scratches I suppose. Still works

When the mice are plugged in via wire the wire transmission takes over. For instance if you plug the USB receiver into Computer 1, but wire it into Computer 2.. only Computer 2 will see the mouse movements/data.

Hey, kind of my last resort to ask in here. I've checked what seems like everywhere, YT/Reddit/Discord/Asked support but can't get a fix. I have a Yeti Orb which is detected in GHub and the LED light is blue/green. I tried changing and checking all the settings boxes imaginable, updating drivers etc., different USB cable but can't get it to detect sound on any program. Does anyone have any ideas that I could try? Thank you in advance.

Generally you first want to test on the G Hub software before moving elsewhere. Testing in G Hub will ignore other sound devices and specifically connect to the device you're testing on regardless of system settings which could cause issues with any other program on your system.

Since you aren't hearing anything in G Hub we normally want to check hardware next.

• Are you using the USB-C cord that came with the microphone? If you are using cords that only allow power you'll get the LEDs lit up but cannot send sound to the computer. The original cable would be fine, but if you've tried other cables, ensure they can transfer data appropriately. Normally with it being seen in the G Hub program it should be fine, but worth testing the original cable if possible.

• You mention blue/green LED lights. Maybe your LIGHTSYNC is doing something... but otherwise the 3 standard states are:

  • White: Power On
  • Green: Active
  • Red: Mute
    If its pulsing other colors or between colors maybe we can check the documentation to see if that indicates anything. I think be default it will cycle through a rainbow color. Hopefully you can set the LIGHTSYNC to something in the meantime to avoid strange color combinations while you troubleshoot.

• Has it worked in the past and only broke recently, or is this a new one/second hand one that hasn't worked yet?

• Do you have any other audio software on the computer? Voicemeeter, OBS, Mixline, etc?

• What are your Input Gain and Master Output Level in G Hub?

I would double-check the cable if you're using something that didn't come with the original packaging.

If you use that same USB-C cable, could you for instance use it to plug in a phone or other data device (like an external storage drive) and transfer files you should be all set. If you aren't able to see the device and move files the cord is 99% likely the issue. If you can't transfer data, you cannot transfer sound.

Also worth double-checking, you aren't plugging it into any adapter, extension cord, or hub.. just directly into one of your computer USB ports?

If you were interested in the last place to check, you can plug it into your computer and see if anything shows up in Device Manager (if on Windows OS):

From there you can try to uninstall the drivers from wherever the Yeti Orb appears. Then restart the computer and relaunch G Hub. If it doesn't appear there we can try some other stuff... but all good if you are would rather just send it back. 👍

Usually shouldn't be an issue.

• Do you have any type of automated program like AutoHotKey or PowerToys that may have a system-based hotkey override?
• Does the behavior persist if you create a new spare profile in G Hub with defaults?
• Can also hopefully try onboard memory and testing on a spare computer/system to help troubleshoot. Generally that would remove the other programs and/or hotkey customization.

I recently ordered a used Logitech G PRO X Wireless Headset from a marketplace. However, I noticed that it was listed as "headset only, no accessories," meaning it doesn't come with the USB receiver.
I found out that the USB receiver for the G533 Wireless Headset is available on the same site. I asked the seller if they could sell just the USB receiver, and they agreed.
My question is: will this USB receiver work with the G PRO X Wireless Headset? If it does, I would like to go ahead and order it.

Generally it’s just a software issue and it’s nothing to worry about. As long as it’s charged regularly/when not in use it will be fine

WD-40 standard has very little lubricants and is really more just a water displacement oil.

This makes it generally. very poor for use in electronics from my understanding.

They do make speciality options for electronics I would highly recommend if lubricating your mouse is considered.

There is a known bug where charging percentages don't update while charging and get stuck sometimes. Does it never go above 86% even when you unplug/replug/restart? Usually recharging and/or restarting the software gets correct updates.

You can swap around receivers. However, if buying from a third-party market place, I'd ensure you do the best you can to ensure the headset and receiver are the exact type. Not all Logitech G receivers support all headsets, most are specific to their hardware.

Have you had a chance to test if it goes down from 86% right away, indicating its accurate, but can't charge past that amount? If its a newer product I would reach out to support, as that could indicate the battery is starting to see issues and I'd invoke the warranty before it gets worse (even if its still pretty useful). That kind of degredation for a warranty product is worrisome. Otherwise batteries are a problematic piece for all manufacturing on all electronics. Hopefully you can replace it or just deal with the 14% loss for now. Soz.

That is correct. I don't have any source for that at the moment, but you could double-check with support. This definitely used to be the case that different headsets will not pair between different USB receivers.

You're best bet is to reach out to Logitech Support or check third-party sites like eBay.
I recommend the support, as they will usually have a cheaper option to send (and sometimes free - but I can't guarantee that). They will also ensure they match to your headset type to get you the correct receiver, where as a third-party its all on you.

It’s a mechanical switch, and not a hall effect switch. Hall effect switches have rapid trigger. PRO X uses both either mechanicals or opticals based on your choice. The keyboard won’t ever rapid trigger, unless Logitech actually adds a new feature for hall effect switches (which I doubt they will ever add because they’ve gotten so mediocre and boring lately)

To be honest, if you did get a PRO X keyboard when wanting a rapid trigger custom actuation point keyboard, that probably might’ve been a terrible choice. The Wooting is definitely the best choice out there, but the shipping times are crazy high

To be honest, normal keyboards are so ass. The delay feels terrible, and the keys don’t sound good. Also with no custom actuation point or rapid trigger… I’d never get a normal keyboard ever again.

so this might sound odd (i didnt wanna believe it either) but has anyone else had wifi issues on their phones with G pro X Superlight 2?

after the most recent dongle firmware upgrade, my iphones wont stay connected to wifi if within a few feet of the dongle or it is in between my router and phone(s)

no issues if the dongle is completely disconnected from a power source

tested on 2 iphones same results first test was an iphone 8 on ios 16.1 and iphone XR on ios 15,x (dont remember the exact version i just know its on ios 15, old phone, main phone is my 8)
resulted in unstable wifi connection when dongle is near phones or between them and the router

i updated BOTH phones to the latest version and still get the same results

In your screenshot, with Blue Voice select the ✅Advanced Controls (below the record button) and see if you have options to things like High-Pass, Noise Reduction, and Gate. These are going to be the main ways to get rid of unwanted background sounds.

Generally Gate is what you are most likely looking for.

*Gate just acts like a noise threshold. Anything more quite than it is never sent as audio so its completely silent. Everything above is unaffected. If you talk louder than the key presses/clicks you'll find a good setting somewhere. This combined with your **Gain *can help get good voice and keep more distant sounds quite to be effected by the gate with more consistency.

Every scenario is different, but you can try to set it to something like -25db to see if it drowns out your background noise. You then want to lower it or raise it to where you can consistently hear your self talking, but your background noise is quiter than the gate and ends up being cut out completely. You'll have to play around with the Gain and Gate a bit. Other options like High-Pass and Noise Reduction help with specific types of background noise, but I think that Gate is what you want for key-clicks.

Apparently just Noise Reduction. Instead it seems to have more options where I see Release, Bias, Sensitivity and Maximum Attenuation.
I thought that sensitivity could be it but I still hear myself slapping my leg quite well having lowered it.

Looks like you still have access to the two main ones:

• Gain (top left of your first screenshot)
• Gate (labelled as Expander/Gate)

You'll have to do a fair bit of testing to gradually increase these options until you cut out background noise, but can still be heard talking. 👍

Normally in G Hub it is "live" for Blue Voice stuff. That's usually everything other than the Gain. which is live while you're recording, but not after. There may be a second or two of delay when you actively check or uncheck and change a slider...

You should be able to record a message with the record button (ideally with background noise as well) and adjust the settings while it loops the recording.

If you set your gain to 0 and can still hear yourself, something funny may be going on... otherwise Gate shouldn't effect your voice too much since your mouth is ideally right next to your microphone arm, but if you had keyboard sounds the more to the right the bar is the more sound you're cutting out.

Make sure you aren't running third-party audio high-jacking your audio. Like Voicemeeter, OBS, and maybe a few others as well... just in case.

I'm not familiar with what I assume is this VoiceMod, but chances are something else is controlling or bypassing your settings and gettin your microphone raw output if you can hear anything at 0 gain. You can also choose similar settings on whatever third party software has these options. You usually only want to have a single source of audio post-processing though.

I find Logitechs the easiest to work with and I like that they have explanations next to most of them.. but they aren't usually anything fancier or better than other software for the most part. 👍 Whichever you find easiest to use to get the post-processing you need to cut out background noise should work. I also found G Hub more stable than Voicemeeter for instance..
