It's likely an operating system issue. I recall being plagued by it in Windows 10... not necessarily a hardware issue. I think the first time I had issues was with Razer (or maybe Turtle Beach?) gear many moons ago.

Generally, you want to disable stuff controlling the microphone other than setting anything Logitech as a controller of the microphone on the headset. Troubleshooting-wise you could try a combination of the options. Keep an eye on the microphone levels as this was the common issue that Windows would adjust your volume to be insanely low and never bring it back up (which is just my guess as to what's going on with your setup).

Hope you get a good solution either way!

I have seen quite a few nice fixes with RegEdit.. be careful messing around with it though.

I can't even recall what fixed my issues a long time ago. Windows just eventually stopped being stupid, I think. 😩

Honesly, Windows 11 isn't much worse. I know people hate on Windows... but I had a much better experience with Windows 11 than 10. However, the article also indicates some people potentially have issues with the upgrade as well.

If you're system isn't barely cutting the requirements. I personally recommend upgrading as a power user for computer stuff.

This is an indiator the Operating System is messing it up as opposed to pure hardware or anything software basd.

As a troubleshotting step you can try to see if uninstalling it makes a difference. Its not above having bugs here and there.
A lot of people end up downgrading versions if they have specific issues with G Hub updating and messing up drivers.

Here is how downgrading has helped some people:

You may have to try without the software or downgrading for the sake of troubleshooting... but hopefully you get the chance to see what works and get towards a setup where you gain stops messing up.

Were you even able to confirm if your gain/levels was changing when you "get quieted" on the various software options?

Without additional information like checking on your gain/levels...
I can only guess the crux of the issue is that when the operating system hears you talk or hears ambient sound it lowers your gain/levels and makes you quiter to compensate.. but never brings it back up. Was very common in Windows 10. To the point where you just could barely be heard.

Hello, I have a G Pro X that I use with GHub. Sometimes, depending on the game, the microphone level (gain) increases on its own, and even if I lower it, it still goes back up. Any idea how to prevent this?

Worth a shot via Reddit:

1. ⁠Right click on the speaker in your task bar
2. ⁠Click on "Recording"
3. ⁠Right click on your microphone that you're using
4. ⁠Select properties
5. ⁠Select Advanced
6. ⁠Toggle on and then off "Enable Audio Enhancements"
7. ⁠You might need to leave and rejoin any discord call you are in

Ive used the method for the last week while having GHUB or the microphone levels within the Sound settings open and it seems to hold.

If you restart your PC, it goes to sleep or if it stops working, following the same set of steps should work.

I have some on mine. Front and side skate area arent an issue. Finding a spot big enough on the back curved area was a bit annoying, but ended up finding a spot to put them. I used Obsidian dots, so milage may vary if using somethingdifferent. Glide is good tho

8000 hz polling is VERY draining on the battery, and so is every high polling rate. The Pro X 2 gets 90 hrs at 1k, 50 hrs at 2k. I exaggerated, but Razer gets like 15 hours of battery on 8k polling

and razer has the best optimized battery life of all the mice with 8k as an option so... its even worse from everyone else

Once your on the site, scroll down until you see "online support" (click on it). Then scroll down to the bottom of that page and find the "still need help" section and you can pick phone or 24/7 chat support.

I asume you want to avoid the bot so pick the phone option if you dont want to give a serial number.

Last option is to talk with the chat bot (click on it next to the calling tab) and ask the bot to get connected to a real person. (i tested it by asking "i want to talk to a real person") Then click "no" for the serial number thing and click on a random product (in this case you have issues with your mouse and headset so pick one. If your talking to the wrong support ppl, they will transfer you to the correct ones.

Everything on console needs to be able to be connected thru the wheel base so the best best on a g923 on console is the logi shifter that's modes to work like a handbrake

oh then there is no shifter for xbox. the only way to connect one is to switch wheels to tm but that can be a waste of money or convert a shifter into a handbrake. (tons of mods on yt)

Yep. Thrustmaster sells a shifter that can swap between a normal one, sequential shifter, and hand brake but that requires swapping to their platform on console.

I think its more to do with how limited the hardware and OS is on console. Only so much they can make usable with the limited bandwidth Rey have vs PCs. It's also to make it more simple. If you want to dive deep into sim racing, console is not the right platform.

Moza shot up in popularity for offering entry level direct drive wheels. It's influenced the market so it's overall good. I suspect they have been able to keep prices low because they have lacked console compatibility until recently. That licensing and testing will add cost. Even the logi pro wheel is 200 cheaper if you get the pc only version.

Those cheaper moza wheels also don't produce the same level of tourqe as the pro, if you go up to that level, you'll be paying similar money after getting a wheel rim.

1: Make sure the dongle is plugged into the pc, not just the little usb receiver.
2: open Logitech ghub and click on the mouse. Then make sure your polling rate is set for something higher or equal to 1000hz. The higher the polling rate, the faster the battery dies but will give you a smoother experience.

plugging the dongle directly into the motherboard can cause interference so that is not always the best idea. Its only really viable to test to see if there is damage or an issue with the cable/extender especially with polling rates north of 1k

if you dont know how to solder there is a risk of destroying the PCB. There are also replacable PCBs you can get that have a new encoder on them, but they usualy are desigend around replacing the switches so youd need to get those too

gpx hot swap pcb is what you want to look for. They range from like $10-30 depending on where you get them. some come with the switches already installed which may be a good option. Youll likely need to put new skates on too but those are cheap

you need to dismantle the mouse and unplug/replug ribbon cables on the mouse pcb. these things arent hard to do but can be intimidating the first time you do it. If you can find another gpx1 or a different mouse that is on sale for a price you are comfortable with, that may be a better option if working on the pcb makes you uneasy

my approach would be to try and fix it, but I have experience taking those mice apart and have stacks of backup mice if I mess it up, but your situation is going to be different

one uses the dedicated logi drivers and the other uses whatever drivers your motherboard uses, so there is a difference, what exactly that is, im not sure. only thing you lose using the 3.5mm is ghub so not really anything forcing you one way of the other unless theres something in ghub you cant live without

audio is subjective so its always going to be a mixed bag especially with motherboard audio quality swinging wildly from model to model. might be worth playing around with the EQ in ghub to see if you can find something more to your liking. Ive found browsing the community made options can be a good baseline for customization/tuning

hi there, i just bought a g502. i usually hold my mouse palm style if that makes sense. every button seems to be fine but the right click is a bit clunky from the way i use it. pressing it on the middle part makes it work consistently but that is just too uncomfortable. is that an issue with the mouse or just me?

G502 isn't a very good palm grip mouse, that's more for claw or fingertip(despite it being heavy, it's shape still works well for fingertip). You want a mouse with a bigger butt for palm, such as the superlight.

I'd recommend trying out a slightly modified claw grip with the g502, instead of trying to palm it. Grip isn't that big of a deal and it's more important to grip the mouse you are using comfortably than trying to force a particular style - your skill transfers between grips pretty well, so don't feel like you're forced to palm grip it

Uninstall GHUB.
Open search box(windows+R) and type %Appdata%.
Delete the Logitech folder in AppData.
Open Device Manager, and uninstall the device entry.
Disconnect the device.
Download latest GHUB from the web.
Restart PC.
Reconnect the device.

pc or console? on PC, you can use whichever USB handbrake you want. On console however, there are not any that will work with the G29

not 100% what you are asking but, there are 2 versions and theyd use different caps. It has used romer g switches which would require caps that work with romer G switches. There is also a version that uses a cherry "MX" cross style switch which uses what would be considered standard keycaps. The caps themselves are a painted ABS. The 512 is also from a time when gaming keyboards used non-standard bottom rows so a standard keycap set you can find on amazon wont fit the bottom row.

Almost any headset on the market will have sub-par sound. I have never seen a headset microphone do better than something dedicated.
However, they should be decent enough and as long as you are angling it towards your mouth correctly and ensuring to play around with the microphone gain a bit... its usually very easy to find a level where your general breathing won't be heard and low background noise (like your fans) is completely removed. 👍
There are probably quite a bit of tutorials out to help out with ways to test your gain levels.

I can't speak to this exactly from a non-audio expert... but the drivers and sound space seem to be on par with other similar offerings in its price-range. Not audiophile levels, of course but overall great value. One huge component you may be interested in is that you can customize the EQ even if you aren't an expert. Lots of people make custom EQ settings for footsteps specifically and sometimes even on a per-game basis. You can just browse, download, apply, and try out a lot of options!

You could google settings and adjust your EQ options from there.
However, the G Hub software also has a built-in options to browse user-submitted profiles as well so you can apply directly from the software without editing anything. The search options will ensure you only get profiles for your specific device which is nice so they always set things to your devices capabilities and that the users new exactly which hardware they were customizing as opposed to generic levels.

Sorry, looks like they are promoting their EQ settings specifically, but you can obviously just search for your specific needs as well. I'm on my work computer at the moment and can't get G Hub loaded for a better screenshot, soz. I, personally, use the Pro X Wireless. I'd argue it's the best headset I've had. I haven't delved into any of the audiophile stuff... but I cannot stand wires on headsets. I think it's a good mixture of not too gamer-aesthetic, good features (like easy swap between Bluetooth and dedicated wireless and a completely removable microphone arm), and durability.

I don't believe the wire (at this price point level) improves anything from a sound-perspective, so if you were concerned about degraded footstep capability - that shouldn't be an issue.

I’ve gotten sent a few things from companies for YouTube. Some I’ve been asked and some I’ve asked for but generally, the bigger companies come a bit down the road. You won’t get Logitech at 1K, 10K or maybe even 20K. If you want to get into it, only accept things you need or items you want. If you ask nicely, the small company’s will return!

Also keep in mind, promotions like this don’t usually perform well on channels IF it’s a dedicated video. I’m telling you that from my personal experiences. They can kill channels if you post to many. Make sure to space them out and still continue with non-sponsored or partnership content.

I like high sens and low weight. I did have high sens on my old basilisk v3, but it felt too heavy + some other factors. After I got my op1, I had to do a bunch of readjustments to get it my liking. I went from aggressive claw to f-tip (fingertip grip), and the mouse hasn’t felt better ever since I did the switch 😁

High sens on a heavy mouse felt wrong to me, and that’s why I moved to op1.

wait to hear back to verify, but LGS is listed in the downloads for the GPW. That software hasnt been updated since May of 2022, so im not sure if there are firmware updates it may not have access to, but according to downloads page, it should be supported. For whatever reason tho, it is difficult to navigate to that page directly from logitechs website

That said, ive had better luck with logitech than I have with razer. Best case is everything can be adjusted without any software but thats not always possible depending on the devices you use

Only place id think to look would be earnings calls to see if they are tlaking about expanding into new regions. Hopefully they open it up for your region but if not, its probably better to just bite the bullet of swapping to something else with an ecosystem you can work with and is available to you

on my old G935 (no BT), the volume wheel would also adjust the in-windows volume bar. I've tried a bunch of newer headset with BT, and none of them do that anymore (for reasons that they are mixing input from multiple sources, 2.4 and BT).

Is it the same with G733? Just cause it has BT, the volume wheel will not adjust the volume bar in-windows?

there are a few different ways to try and repair a usb ranging from cleaning it to replacing it. A youtube video is probably your best bet on any of these but worst case, USB ports use small solder points and are not easily replaced

There are alot of different gaming boards out there so it mostly depends on which board you are comparing. Usually the main difference is going to be polling rate. A gaming KB is going to have 1000 hz or higher. But there is no standard for what a normal one is so it's all going to vary depending on what you are comparing.

Any USB-C with a protocol 2.0 or higher will charge the headphones just fine. Specifications
That will most likely be all USB-C wires on the market today. Just in case: If you wanted to use the same cord to connect the headphones to your computer for usage and/or updates you'll want a USB-C cord that support data transfer.

With a proper cord, the headset only needs 2.5 watts of charge capability and will specifically only pull up to that... even if your source could support higher.
