Not sure what exact Logitech mouse you're talking about but have you installed the appropriate Logitech software and to check if the current profile has the G Logo disabled?
Is the mouse wireless? If so, it could be a low battery power saving feature to turn off the G Logo.

If those troubleshoot things fail you can try resetting your mouse to factory default settings.

I've got a 502, and I didn't assume it would be an issue, but the pad's box says 903 and 503...and my mouse isn't charging.

Logitech G435 Wireless - I purchased this headset off of amazon and was wondering if anyone has any tips on what to do. I have tried connecting it via bluetooth and lightspeed. It will not connect to lightspeed but it will connect to bluetooth. The main issue is though after turning the headset on and connecting it, it randomly powers off on it's own. depends on what you are looking for. they are comfortable and sound fine, but the wireless means the mic isnt great and you can get a WAY better mic and sound quality from a wired headset from some of the more known audio brands

for them to make sense you really need to want wireless, but that normally goes for any wireless headset

The C920s is just a renew of the old. So it has an external shutter, takes less resources and is compatible by default with Windows, something apparently the C920 has issues with as it's outdated hardware.

I'd stay away from the C920 unless you want to mess around with drivers for a few hours.

Hey it depends on the platform you're going to game but from personal experience (well more from my friends) don't go for the newest and "bestest" cause maybe you're going to play one or two times before you get used to it you're going to end up with it collecting dust so I'd go for the G920 (Xbox) or the G29 (PS4/PC) it's 50$ less than the newer G923 and maybe cheaper if you find a good deal otherwise go for the G923

Otherwise you might want to invest in a wheel made for the specific type of game you're going to play the most, like for example if you're going to play F1 might be worth picking up a Moza set since they're generally more powerful and customizable and I've seen them in sale this summer so it really depends on your use case

Hi guys! Having some problemo's with my G29 for PS3/PS4.

I've used the G29 on PC for quite some time now and I've been offline for about 3 months, but then something happened to the wheel to which I couldn't fix it.

The Minus button on the circular 2-piece button registers about 8 buttons on the whole wheel, the D-Pad and the 4 symbol buttons work fine, the rest does nothing, including the paddles, what could've caused this?

8k hz is just a marketing gimmick, I dont even think games even support it very well if at all. better battery life and lower weight contradict each other and they just switched to opticals so there really isnt much in the way to change there other than type of switches which is going to be preferenace

the fractions of a millisecond going from 4k to 8k is also not noticeable by probably anyone. variation in the ping in your online games have more effect than that would

that is not true at all. the game engine needs to support it. I know its not a comp game but the first descandant stutters at anything over 2k even on windows 11, and that game very much falls in the category of "all games"

a quick google search also tells me that apex still doesnt support 8k polling. The win11 update helped it handle 4k but it still cant handle 8k because of the engine... and apex is very much one of "all games"

Could someone help me with some issues I got with my g502 x plus? I've tried support, but after the issue happening for the second time alongside with other issues with the sensor despite my efforts to clean it and making sure it is fully clean.

My inputs from both left and right click perform both actions. If I press left click both left and right click get triggered and vice versa. If you want to be a real pro get the g pro super light 2, if you want a budget wireless one, get the g305, of a budget wired, get the g203 lightsync, if you want a infinite scroll wheel or bunch of buttons, get one of the mice in the g502 series. If you want a wireless mouse with rgb and compatible with power play, absolutely recommend the g703 lightspeed.

A variety of updates could change this from a software perspective even if your hardware has not changed.

Check something akin to Power / Sleep Settings in your operating system and your BIOS.

Although Operating systems and BIOS are all different the vast majority will have something along the lines of:

“Always On USB”, “USB Wake Support“, “USB Power Management“, or “Power On by USB“, where you can likely turn these ON to be able power components while the computer is fully shutdown.

Then, just in case... if you are using the power buttons on the back of your desktop, this will fully shut down anything the power supply is connected to which is likely all of your USB ports.

As someone super into sustainability..
The short answer is yes, the USB connectors will draw power if enabled with nothing plugged in (usually to just constantly check if a device gets plugged in).

However, the amount is so small that if you shut off your computer every night or not when in use you are already doing a LOT more to avoid power waste. The extra power for the convenience is still quite sustainable in my opinion.
If you were concerned about power waste. Consider some BIOS options that shut down all LEDs during shutdown.

I actually sold a relatively new Razer keyboard for it since I like the laptop style a lot. Wasn't popular at the time and very large buttoned mechanical keyboards dominated the market. The metal frame, buttons, and customizable clickiness are really nice.

The only downside is that it still charges via micro-USB instead of USB-C. 💢

I also did end up liking the software (despite its many flaws) a lot better than Razer Synapse 2 or 3. I had a lot more issues to fix more consistently on that than G Hub, but that mileage can clearly vary. 😛

Otherwise, everyone has their own preferences and Logitech has a great set of offerings. Hopefully you can find one that's nice. Might help if you can list things you particularly like?

You can also try disabling the Blue Voice from your mic in the GHub options menu. Especially if you are using other software like Voicemeeter... combining too many effects or competing softwade can end up with some rough quality.

If you want access to the mouse options you can try checking out (On board Memory Manager)[https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/6449584392215-Onboard-Memory-Manager] to get some options that don't mess with other GHub stuff. 👍

well that isnt the same as charging the mouse which is what you said... it might be OK if its a decent quality cable. They say it that way becasue they can only be sur eof the quality of the cable they send you

The key difference is that you need a cable that supports power transfer and data transfer if you want to update firmware. If your cable provides only power like some cheap micro-USB and USB-C cables, the data can't move and the firmware/software won't be able to update. 👍 Many cheap cables are power only.

As such, it doesn't have to be the one that came with the device, but you'll have to look up the cable's manufacturer/information to determine its capabilities and appropriateness for firmware updates.

It is my understanding macros run on the G Hub-based LUA logic. If you are building macros with that logic you'll need the G Hub LUA API running to utilize the LUA.
If the successful people are talking about macros as "assignments" for keys or mouse-clicks that change from their default behavior to something that is a known key-combo... that should transfer over and be assignable in the Onboard Memory Manager.

For me personally, the only time I had issues with G Hub loading forever - it turned out to be a login issue, so I cleared my default browser cache and/or reinstalled from Safe Mode.

I use the PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED and I feel its been the best headset I've ever had. Here are some of my pros/cons:

The pros:

• Decent fit for the price
• Decent quality for the price
• The addition of Bluetooth to allow for alternative connections other than the 2.4GHz dongle is great for flexibility. Wired connection still supported too if all else fails.
• The completely removable microphone arm is great as I use a higher quality piece of gear anyways. No headset has ever had great quality microphones in my opinion outside of professional equipment that is not reasonable for gaming. You can upgrade the microphone as well, but again, probably not worth it unless you cannot use other equipment.
• Easy to find third party ear cushions to upgrade or replace.
• Great look for office work without being to "gamer-looking".

The cons:

• For the price I do really wish they could come with some form of a station for "wireless" effortless charging and storage.
• No active noise-cancellation. This is a deal-breaker for some people if you use them in non-private or non-filtered environments.

I guess to add a little more info to the skate discussion tho, I personally recommend at least trying dots since they are pretty cheap and the obsidians have 40 dots in the pack which go a long way. Generally, dots are mouse agnostic so you never have to worry about shape while also getting the glide you are looking for by adding or removing them. I tend to run with 4-6 dots since that usually gives a bit of a faster feel compared to larger skates like on the superlight, but if you add more you can slow them down to your liking (as long as there is space for them).

the beast x is gonna be noticeably smaller in the hand. The bewast x max is a more similar comparison. That said, if its the v1 superlight, the beast x has much more modern features. if the v2 superlight then itll mostly be whatever shape you think will be better. The superlight will be easier to try than the beast x will be.

ive used the logi shifter and the thrustmaster TH8A and they are both fine. anything higher end than that I havent messed with. personally I have my logi shifter modded to be a handbrake since i play mostly rally games. handbrake is more useful than a shifter

there are some generics on amaozn, but the dice roll is if theyll work when they show up. I tried one of the generic handbrakes like you sent before and it was dead right out of the box

Your major savings in RAM usage is going to be the lack of the G Hub software. So cutting that out already is going to get you on the same level as most other mice for any meaningful RAM usage.

Overall with the onboard memory the mouse is remembering the settings and applying them without much, if any, input from the operating system. 👍

I have used Razer Synapse 2 and 3, Logitech G Hub, third party stuff (like Voicemeeter, SignalRGB, etc...), and have some exposure to Corsair's software setup. I, personally, find G Hub to be pretty decent. I do wish they made an easy way to swap between and "easy mode" and more "advanced mode" as the intro learning curve can be a bit for some people that don't need all the extra stuff. Overall though, been the most stable suite I've used over the years so far.
Still quite flawed (as you'll see when new updates come out here :P) but overall pretty good.

However, it does not include audio mixing like you specifically mentioned. You can change settings about your headphones and microphone, but not necessarily between programs and audio devices.
Logitech has released Mixline as a relatively new free software which may be closer to what you're looking for with an audio mixer.

What happened with Steelseries? Seems like a good brand overall. Was it the hardware? or the software? or just bad customer service response? Just curious. Hope you get a good setup one way or another!

If you're having issues even after reinstalling because of some settings changes with the update, have you tried installing older versions by chance? Just install those and disable updates in the mean time.

⚠️ So backup, scan, and proceed with caution like you would any other untrusted software to revert updates.

Thanks for responding and in such detail. My problems with steel series stem from ease of use and lack of satisfying customer service. The headset worked well enough for PS5. I was disappointed when a headset marketed as PS5 compatible required a firmware update, thereby requiring me to hook it up to my desktop or laptop. Thats a smaller issue which I was fine with addressing. I then tried using it for PC gaming and found that the built-in headset microphone was not usable. I used a splitter and all that. Still, I couldn't get it to work. I followed a few threads online, turned off Microsoft's onboard audio enhancement, and tried to make the GG client work but it didn't go through. I figure a product that cost as much as the Arctis Nova 7P and which was marketed for a gaming console would be super simple to use and work right out of the box. The SteelSeries GG software suite is bloatware. Takes up more space than needed, and had several products I did not need it for. It was basically a advertising software, with a audio equalizer plugin slapped on to it. The EQ was good.

2024.6 G HUB update broke the surround for my G Pro X.
I uninstalled G Hub, uninstalled the headset driver in Windows and then reinstalled G HUB, but it didn't solve it.
I'm alone ?

After updating your drivers, did you ensure the surround sound options didn't change due to the update (erroneously)?

Does the TEST SURROUND SOUND not work, or does it only break outside G Hub?

If you can't find a reasonable reason why the surround sound is specifically broken, hopefully you can check out [options to downgrade](#💬general-chat message) in the mean time.

It's on. And test surround is the same even with Surround on and off. I can't hear a difference when I turn it on and off in a game and when I'm listening a video for example.

One last option to check before using an older version could be to check your Operating System Sound Properties.
Generally it helps to have the default effects which should pick up on the Logitech HX2E Surround Sound Effect (or similar as I have a Pro X 2).

Hello. I've been using the Superlight 2 for a couple of days. Then i noticed that the bottom of the mouse (the blue areas) is super scratched up even though they are only superficial scratches even though i was using a mouse pad (which had a medium hardness).

Afterwards i requested a replacement and at the same time also got a softer mousepad (the steelseries qck heavy) and after using the new superlight 2 it again had superficial scratches.

Additionally the second superlight 2 that i used has horrible pinging noise issues on the mouse clicks which in my opinion are unbearable. The first one also had some pinging but it was significantly less.

I honestly dont know what to do. I used two mouses. Both had at least some pinging and they scratch on the bottom even on different and soft mousepads. It looks ugly. And the issue is that i like the mouse so i just dont wanna return it and look for something else. Is maybe the superlight 1 an option? I heard they in general dont sound as high pitched but they also seem to have had and maybe still have the scroll wheel issue and double clicking as well. What should i do? Just return it? Get a third replacement mouse? Get the superlight 1? Look for other brands?

when you say the blue areas what do you mean? the bottom of the mouse doesnt have any blue on it other than the power switch

did you take the protective film off of the bottom of the mouse? also skates are a wear item, they are going to wear down over time. stressing about them not being pristine isnt worthwhile. ANY ptfe feet will scratch up no matter what mouse you pick

the pinging sound is just the nature of the switches. they do break in over time and chill out a bit but its hard to want to stick with it that long to see if it gets better for you

imo, stock skates on that mouse are not good so benefit from being changed anyway. not everyone shares that opinion tho
