Well Belenus was the only server with 2 clans that could kill Manikin. Dhio has been contested for months at that point.

Bosses were split 50/50, elems had an edge earlier in the year, NE gained the edge towards the end

It’s commonly agreed upon that Elementals could have killed manikin, we just never had the opportunities to attempt it cause all the resets back in June. We had 1 attempt which failed cause we didn’t really know what we were doing after winning a lock fight

Half our members went to Mabon and killed Manikin there, came back and said “yeah that sht isn’t hard at all we just need the right ppl on”

The problem was Manikin died to u guys in the first half of the day, wouldn’t spawn for days, and then Deca would do a reset before it spawned again creating a loop where it never spawned during our prime hours

We took a huge shot at that 9am attempt, won the lock fight but the kill wasn’t happening we lost too many players to work schedules

Then ppl got frustrated and quit the game

It’s simply what happened, but u don’t play belenus so how would u know. Deca resets always favored NewEra, was just how it was. We usually only got prot and sometimes gele if enough ppl woke up

Natural spawns and insta spawn events is pretty close to 50/50, with the scale tilting one way or the other depending on the month

All those players who quit btw are still around (besides like Rump and sunny), they’re just waiting for a reason to come back. Rump legitimately might only return if there’s instances cause raids could then be scheduled around his busy life schedule 😂

So changes are brought in as an extension, and not messing up the open world every update,

What problem existing dom clans players have to the instances?

Anything will not change for them - will be there the same bosses they will can continue killing and all content same as used to.

Only what will desapeard is toxic punishing weaker players and everyone have equal chance to participate bosses.

If they will not able to kill some bosses they will not killing with instances and one day when they be strong enough they will go for it. And no one stronger will be stoping them from content.

Cut from content is one of the main reasons that ppl quiting, and im shure alot will come back when instances come.

Instances cant just be toggled on or off, there's a lot of existing game design concerns to be addressed and brand new development DECA needs to do to even get a barebones instanced zone out.

There's the question of what gear can/should be obtainable in an instanced raid/dungeon, how frequently should players be able to access them, how would you balance existing open world raids to ensure players still wanna kill the bosses, ensure that instanced zones dont lead to players finding game breaking bugs or new dupes just to name a few.

Thinking instances gonna magically revive underdog clans is a pipe dream. Maybe in a few years of instances dropping theyd reach that stage, but we need to see that deca devs are even capable of creating bug free instances...something which none of their new content has been.

Mabon killed mani for a while when it came out. I think the big problem lies with DECA, and not the state of each server. Lots that came back were quickly discouraged by the still LACK of gameplay between bosses and such. Even I haven’t played the last few months, just not the same anymore. And honestly, not sure DECA can “save” the part of the game that truly needs to be saved. Merging is temporary, and as we all know will ultimately end in even less players than before, but with not as many “dead” servers I guess. So is it really a win? Regardless of who merges with who. Gameplay and longevity still need to be addressed… Don’t even see Terminator on the leaderboards anymore. That’s how long he’s been gone. And that was THE diehard fan, if any.

Not towards heavy comp. Resets were contested for months before Elems decided to quit. Bosses were evenly split the second servers opened

NE just spent hours learning crom during beta release plus actually developing the bele strat when crom was introduced into the main game

Elems did almost nothing to learning the actual mechanics of the new boss. This gave us the edge to win and look where that lead us to

There very much is a skill ceiling, even if it isn't very high. Maybe that didnt exist on Belenus idk never played there, the underdog clan on my server had the issue of not understanding game mechanics very well

Yeah man that’s why I want instances as well. It gives Deca way more freedom to create or alter content. Instanced raids usually can be designed more mechanically complex and more balanced because you can design them around a player cap and don’t have to take lock fights into account. For example res idols could be disabled in an instanced raid, that automatically makes content more intriguing.

Plus there’s a lot more to an instanced raid than the boss, there’s usually a whole dungeon your clan has to tackle first.

They could literally just turn arcane sanctum into an eg instance as it is rn with minimal changes, and then just add the ability to upgrade gele loot with confluxes. That gives clans a ton to do with minimal work on Decas end.

With instances merges make a whole lot more sense because it’s actually way more beneficial to have more players on a server to fill up clans to tackle more eg content which then contributes to an Epona like economy where gold has a lot of buying power.

Black market largely exists because gear flows in so slow due to bottlenecks. Instances with player caps + merges to put more players on a server basically widens bottlenecks significantly with the more clans running content on any server. Less need to resort to the black market to gear up.

Also in my suggestion specifically, it included a fix idea to streamline the leveling process making it less of a hassle for new players or players making alts. Attempting to tackle the issue of the toon black market as well.
