Herne. We are moving to a roll system with dkp for dl/edl/dg armor/weps. for the roll system you must be of level. Mains have priority over alts and it goes by class fire get fire gear tank gets tank gear. If no mains present then alt get to have a chance to win. Only one win per person
It’s fair in a way that people with year of dkp can’t just win everything new players have a chance and armor/ weps u just need to help farm enough to earn it
How did you do it before and how did you decide to change to roll system
We were full dkp before but as it only help older players a good 70% of our old players ethier quit and sold out or got banned from the old duping. So id say about 5–8 old players still remain with new players still joining for the new fair system tho our system still has some perfecting to do
Since the old players left it left us unable to kill bosses but now we are gaining more members and getting back to killing bosses our only issue is time difference as half eu and half USA

Tbh I don't think it will matter to much for epona since alot of bosses have 2-3 groups
Epona - Rolls on all bosses.
Epona is using a roll system, to ensure fairness between all people. Each person that attends the boss has an equal chance to roll. We also have requirements at each boss to be eligible for a roll. Each person has the same chance to get something from the boss. With our EG being chosen for either low or high rolls to win, with every other boss being a high roll to win. The reason this system is nice is because it helps allow that fairness between everyone. 1 person does not have a better chance to win than the next person.
Morrigan is a DKP point system, DG is voted on. Fair? Ehh mostly yes

We only do armor cause rolling for it would make it so new players have a hard time getting dl/edl

- DL Armor/ DL Weps/ EDL Armor: Completely free, given out when player is required level to equip said armor.
- EDL Weps: Wait-list of players. Whoever goes to more Unox kills gets first. Mains prioritized over alts.
- DG: DKP - Get points from going to Prot and Gele and bid against other players competing for DG. Every first 2 pieces auctioned is for mains only and every 3rd piece is for Alts only, to ensure people who need their first set are prioritized but people who have been playing for a long time don't get shafted.
- Raid Drops: DKP - You get points from going to bosses and bid on gear with those points. Example: You bid on Mord drop with Mord points, bid on Gele drops with Gele points, and so on. Main bids prioritized over alts.
- VoA 5 Bosses/ Legacy Bosses*: Rolled on kill by people present. Mains prioritized over alts.

I think the wonderful thing about how many servers there are and all of the different communities is that no 2 servers are the same. Each has been constructed based on the player base that calls that server their home.
What works well for one server and it’s community may ultimately fail on a different server with it’s unique set of players. This is 100% dependent on the personalities of those active on each server.
Players are free to find out what method of gear distribution they prefer, and pursue it on servers that match their liking.
If they are unable to find a suitable method that they like, they’re able to create their own clan. With enough likeminded people, especially if their new method is particularly appealing to the community, they may be able to change the hierarchy and layout of their server.
Since this game has been out for such a long time at this point, and each server has its own unique history, I personally think it would be a shame to merge servers and erase the past entirely. The game used to flourish because of constant updates and care from its developers. The precedent is there to show that as long as the game is developing properly and being maintained, a loyal player base will continue to feed into the game. It just needs that nourishment and development to take place.
I know my server is excited for new content to be added, and eager to tackle the new challenges that will be presented. Looking forward to what DECA releases in the near future!
@reef trail FIngal is roll on all except confluxes, select godly drops from mid and end games, and imp+ bands and reacasts.
epona is all roll on any boss under 180 and class roll 180 and up to be exact 🤓☝️

Belenus varies between the 2 clans. Elementals rolls on proteus and below. While bosses above prot are attend/loot council based. For quest armour and weps you have to reach a certain number of attends. DG is attend/loot council based. (Unless things have changed)
New Era is also a mix of DKP, Rolls, and loot council I believe

no, classless roll. better for all. Half our players are single boxers and half are multi so thats the most netural way for us to do rolls.
And it's only one roll per person not toon.
that makes more of an even playing field for single boxers.
and promotes a better econ for us at least

Probably asking to merge servers that have a similar system. Might work for roll servers, but clan based servers will just fight for dominance

i'd welcome comp. its been boring af. if that is the case, take my feedback on merge. just do it. half the fun in the game is competition.
I’m all for it too. At this point in the game I’d be fine if more than just 2 servers were merged together. I want to see activity levels on par with Epona
idk about epona levels of activity haha but agreed. They could probably combine down to 4-5 servers tbh.
Increase boss spawn times and or loot pools. would make a huge difference, instead of focusing on these minor changes.

Rolls on only legacies and maybe mids, dl & edl you have to ask your clan for, and anything good from eg is handled by a loot council.
Balor~ Bank all dino gears to bid for ekp, bank imperial/godly 215+ gears, call class to roll all other drops. Take area attendance at raid 50% to earn ekp points for bids. Other things don't get killed unless new players beg for help after a raid gather. It's fair for most, keeps lazy people away from good gears.

Every server is unique in its own way and has developed over the past 13+yrs.
To be honest, there is no way that best distributes loot/gear because it is all based on each servers majority opinion. I think this was never the intention by the original developers to limit the distribution of the drops. It's kind of cool they allowed each server and/or dom clan to figure loot distribution on their own based on who gets the boss lock for drops. Freedom of choice.
What may be a good idea, is to lay out how each server is ran by the majority (Mythos has done so already above), based off of the posts to follow. Then set some type of minimum active account limit for all servers. Allow for those less active servers (or maybe all players in each server) to have some type of server transfer token (1-2 months time limit to transfer then its gone forever) which allows transfer of account(s) to the server of each individuals choice depending on what kind of system suits/fulfills their needs/wants best.
There are flaws in all systems based on each individuals and the majority of each servers opinions. The biggest downfall of this idea may be the fluctuation of each servers economy by bringing in rares with their accounts to said new server.
Epona is a server that rolls everything, if you look at players there you'll notice that sets for dl are pretty rare. This is because of multi rollers, and swarms of endgame players scooping up the parts to pad their pockets. Unfortunately there's no prio to players that still need the gear. Everything is then later posted for crazy high prices where it can cost millions to complete a decade old set that isn't even relevant anymore just because it's needed to progress to the next one. Its not a good loot distribution system. The only players that benefit from it are the long time players

-mains get dibs on imp+ gear and royal+ on dino
-dg is given out in two halfs (gloves, chest/legs, boots, helm)
-there r two lines for dg that we alternate one is based on highest lifetime, and the other is a 3 person poll chosen by leads depending on wut role we need in dg the most or for players who excel at there role
Dom server so no comp we do all eg on spawn most of the time
We also have rules against drop selling and hoarding gear any gear u no longer use gets refunded to clan for half the dkp u bid for it.
Dl weps/armour r free
Edl armour is also free for edl weps it's based on 215 activity

I have a lot of very good memories on Balor, and I do not intend to leave. People have been very good to me, and I’ve done what I can to pass that on to everyone else on the server as well.
That being said, this thread makes a pretty good pitch to start on Crom. That sounds like an awesome environment, honestly
