wow i COMPLETELY agree. this is one element of the game that should never have been created. wasting customers' real time watching for something to spawn that never does. it is what killed the game when OTM owned it. i begged them to remove them too. and all the while the entire server is banging their heads against a wall and eventually quit without ever seeing it through to the end. this is not conducive to a healthy business model. there is plenty of other things in this game to keep people playing besidea BLOCKING them from ever finishing the weapon they need to kill the boss they need. its like Link NEVER pulling the Master Sword. and while the other elements of the game are entertaining at best, there is NOTHING fun about wasting your only day off watching placeholders spawn!

as it is there is only one active server in like what.. 12?
all because drop hoarders and authoritarian practices. and no, copp placeholder dies not drop anything. and the ONLY people who benefit from placholers are the people hoarding and extorting basic drops. even if every boss is killed every spawn every day, there are not enough resources dropped for players to continue investing their time and money into. maybe you have a decade of free time and full edl but what about the rest of us.
removing placeholders will enable more players to play more servers. its just math

There are a couple things wrong with this.

1. Epona is not the only active server, most servers kill all bosses on spawn. They might not have 100 people castle camping but they are very much so considered active.
2. Coppy has a 20 minute respawn my guy. 72 coppys every single day. Not all of them will be 5 and 6*s, but if you want drops from Coppy it is very easy to get them with just a couple days of patience.
3. Is edl the pinnacle of ch for you? At this point pretty much every person that wants edl just gets it, whether it’s a dkp dom clan or a roll server or comped server there are hundred and hundreds of drops out and about. Maybe lir just sucks with that but I could go to most all servers and have edl in 2 months from a lvl 1 too.
4. Any set of quest armor in the game is easy to get at this point if you put a little bit of effort and/or gold into it. They reduced the spawn times for every boss from warden to edl a couple years ago, and that fixed any issue of not enough drops you’re referencing. There are plenty of drops that drop every day if mobs are killed on spawn.

Beastbone and occult is literally farmable solo 😭 can’t find a single emberdrake brace, or any gele brace? If she’s new enough to where she can’t find that stuff you can’t expect to have all the quest armor and weps as soon as they’re available, and if she’s been playing long enough to have valid complaints about it, she should have found at least some of those gears 😭

The only boss that this is a valid complaint is 215. It’s the only place to get runes, has a 2 hour spawn time, and doesn’t have any guaranteed rune drop. Everything else is balanced fine

Making the game easier for endgame players is just going to further ruin it. The long time it takes to get gear is the very reason CH survived this long. Even when they made the frozen bosses spawn faster, it ruined the mid-game content of otherworld lock battles and lower level clans. Now it's just a race to endgame.

TLDR; dont make the game easier, it's a short term gratification that only hurts CH in the long-term

I am unlucky on rolls anyway, but having 4* at least drop wouldn’t really make it much easier for me but at least not waste the time on a four star that rarely drops when I can be at a 5* or 6* spawn at the same time.

i was the one who presented OTM with a request to fix otherworld and falgren and double the amount of hunter remain spawns back on 2015 to allow the game to survive and end drop blocking because half the players in the server couldnt even unlock bridge thanks to the disparity and greed. and of course the people on the bridge don't want anybody else up there. but of you spend time like i have completing this game and now welcoming new players play through it with me from the dock to the arcane sanctum, then you would see the real issue that spawns all other issues is the existence of placeholders. removing them would end the drop hoarding and arguing for drops that causes people to throw their friends under a bus and get bought by some self proclaimed dom clan that keeps everything you kill in an apk bank and sells it out from under you whenever your back is turned. this would not be possible if players were actually able to farm drops at a rate of at least one drop per spawn. no more endless placeholder nothingness. this is an insult to anybody who values their time

We have empirical evidence of what over-nerfing does to CH. Remember when VR absolutely destroyed the frozen timers and made them so much easier?

Back then we had mid-game content to keep new players busy and fight in lvl 100+ lock battles.

Now it's more boring than ever because frozen items is overabundant, no more fighting for bosses and new players are just ushered to rush to endgame.

I’ve played this game since 2012, have leveled 4 toons to eg, got edl on all of them, was a part of both the small comp clans and the large dom clans for multiple years each. I am a generous person in game, and help people/give them what they need whenever I can. I have no large store of dl/edl items, I do not hoard any drops. This change would be bad for the game. I say that because it’s true, not because I get anything out of it.

I'm just gonna put this out there, as a f2p player, I've never had a dull weekend that I felt was wasted. If the only thing you expect from this game is to log on every weekend just to kill bosses and then upgrade your armor, you are playing the wrong game. The game is not meant to be played like those trash mobile tycoon games where each upgrade is basically spoon fed to you. Mei keeps saying the game is going to die because players can't get their armor fast enough - this is survival of the fittest. We DON'T want players who aren't down for the grind. Players who are ready to give up at every little hiccup are the very reason this game has ever been "dying." However, there may be something to be said about the lack of content that also contributes to players leaving. Even then, there is still the question of how much content is enough. For people like Mei it seems like this will never be satisfied. Personally, I'm able to have enough fun with the content that's already in the game. I can fish on demand, cook on demand, boss hunt for legacy bosses, solo armor bosses to gear my alts, farm faction drops, merch, socialize, experiment with new builds, level up, questing, etc. If these things aren't enough for you to enjoy this game AND you want the game to be easier, the only logical thing I can think of is that you are the problem. This game is not meant for you, no matter how many hundreds of $$$ you dump into this game.

All I was trying to get across was I do not have Edl, I’ve been doing bosses for a long time and I’m just tired of the ND from placeholders. Tbf Depending on the server/boss this isn’t really possible. If it’s a wep boss people can make good money on the crowns/arcanes/runes that drop and would either keep or try to sell to you, and if it’s somewhere like epona there are too many people to do this

PLAYERS QUIT BECAUSE OF PLACEHOLDERS MORE THAN ANY OTHER REASON IN THIS GAME. i see it first hand every single day. i am one of the people who already quit because its such a waste of time. 😑 literally nothing satisfying about waiting for nothing. really people will go play League of Legends or even Elder Scrolls is better. If Celtic Heroes wants to support the player base they just resurrected. they need to fix the mistake that killed it for the last 2 owners. @hollow egret remove placeholders let groups get at least one drop so they feel like they have a REASON TO LOG IN. and they will want to keep playing and not feel like the only way to get an ancient rune is to pay some scalper actual money. which these people are crying. or maybe theres only 2 people left in their server and its too much. removing placeholets is the perfect ratio of drops to players in a healthy server and dom clans won't be able to kill them alll so it would balance the scale and help more clans have more fun so everybody can stop migrating to epona!!!
these haters can go play end game and stop worrying about the players never cared about in the first place. i am talking about the very survival of this game. and i dont care if it affects scalpers bottom line to do it.

I have. I know plenty that quit at the 215 grind. Once there everything that's an upgrade is too expensive, and farming is a waste when you have 10 double rollers at every boss

you have not played nearly as long as i have. after completing every edl set for every class on another server and spending half a decade being the only chief trying to keep it alive, helping THOUSANDS of players get from the dock to end game, i know this is the one critical component that makes people either quit or blame the drop disparity on their clan. even if we farm every boss every spawn every day. the placeholders favour dom clans who hoarde everything.
Removing Placeholders will make it HARDER for drop hoarders to play this game because they will no longer be able to make a living selling quest drops and will actually HAVE to go out and grind like everybody else

this does not change eg or the difficulty of the game. if anything it makes it harder but adds more progress satisfaction to the quality of life. even if it doesnt drop something you need ar least somebody got SOMETHING for the effort of showing up. plus
there is always doch ghul
and hopefully a new 240 armour set to kill crom. please dont let something as simple as not removing placeholders ruin the good thing DECA has going for it ❤️

As some one else mentioned to you, you do not know me or my history on this game so please don’t make assumptions. I have played since ow release. I have been in leadership, I’ve made it to endgame more times than I can count.

Removing placeholders shortens longevity of the game, which shortens their profit from us, the consumers.

i am speaking from the soviological part of the game where once a server fially gets healthy and people are havig fun they all get to a point where they are banging their heads against a wall that will never break. they go crazy. betry friends. pay scalpers actual money for things they shouls be able to farm but are absolutely impossible i have not seen a single green ancient rune drop on epona. in over a year.
