Can Kay swim & can we go fishing?

Star Wars has had some amazing undersea moments & creatures, so going swimming would be fun! There could also be collectibles & quests down in the depths.

Also fishing as a mini-game - always a good choice.

Fishing I kinda doubt (tho who knows, maybe we get to meet Skoova, wouldn't that be cool?)

as to swimming, and more importantly, diving.
Of the for planets that we know will be in the game and have visited before in some way or another, only Akiva has prominent water features. (and before anyone says anything, Yes, Canto Bight is overlooking the Sea of Cantonica, which is entirely artificial and i don't know how happy the local authorities would be if you go in there for a swim.
So let's say for the sake of the argument that you can't swim on Cantonica, and that Akiva is the only place with water features in the environment.
In that case, just based on my stomach feeling, I would say you can probably swim, but not dive.
If Toshara also includes prominent water features, or if you are able to swim in the Sea of Cantonica, I think diving suddenly gets a lot more likely.

yess an ocean planet would be amazing, ecspecially if you could buy from the small hooded creatures an underwater moduel in the trailblazer acting as a submarine

A recent developer interview says that swimming was cut early on😩😞

I think this is because of the kinda metroidvania-ish nature of open world probably. From what I heard from an early player that mentioned when he played it in a game convention, SGF probably, that you need to upgrade the speeder to jump higher so to cross some parts of the open worlds. If you can swim you just cross it 🙂

I just wish that Kay was from Jakku or Tatooine then, to have no frame of reference for swimming, but she’s apparently from Canto Bight or Cantonica and if I remember correctly from The Last Jedi, it has water, she’d want to learn to swim, if she wants to be a scoundrel having an adventurous life. Some kind of ludonarrative dissonance but it’s a game, whatever 😄

Cantonica is actually a desert
it has an artificial ocean, but that was created by and is cared for for the rich elite, so it's pretty plausible that Kay never had access to water in a quantity that learning to swim would make sense

It's actually a desert? Wow 😄 yeah that makes sense if it's only one place and artificially made for show for the elite.

So we have two desert planets in game if cantonica is also an explorable planet in endgame probably. Hope the planet is not just a huge end of the story level for Canto Bight only, I hope we can explore Cantonica 🙂

According to an Interview kay cant swim. But her speeder like we‘ve already seen can take her around
