Here is my guide/tips on what to collect!

Routes for Resource Collection

#

WHAT IS THE COLLECTION BOX?

The collection box is unlocked through the "Terra Nul" quest and is found outside of My Melody's mymelody shop!
You can ask the nul to collect items for you (the nul must be wearing the collector basket hat) and you can ask best friends to collect items for you as well!

Once you've asked the nul/best friend to collect an item for you, the (remaining quantities of) the resource will disappear from your island and can be collected the following day/reset.

  • e.g. there are 30 sticks that spawn a day. you pick up 10 and ask the nul nul to pick up the rest. 20 will appear in the collection box the following reset

If you want to use an island bouquet, it will reset all the items. (Sometimes you need to go to the biome to make some resources reappear on the collection menu).

  • if you have asked a best friend to collect and item, then used an island bouquet, you can ask a different friend to collect that same item.
  • eg. you ask badtz to get you sticks (30), use an island bouquet, then ask tuxedosam to get you sticks (30), the next reset, there will be 60 sticks in the collection box!

TIPS FOR GATHERING:

  • ask the nul last so that you can see how many resources are left on the island while you are collecting
  • run around with Big Challenges bigchallenges to make things easier!
  • if you have the ability to have two companions (completed the || Together Forever || quest), you can also bring TOPHAT tophat for extras or Pochacco pochacco for speed! :)

WHAT SHOULD I BE COLLECTING (PRIORITY ITEMS)

  • If you are early in the game, I recommend collecting everything you can!
but here are are some notable resources (if you have suggestions, please tell me!)
  • sticks

  • sand dollars (for yummy furniture azuki)
  • rubber
  • pineapples
  • apples
  • cactus cream
  • coral milk
  • pumpkins
  • magma blooms
  • cinnablooms
  • IRON
collect whatever you can! remember this is a cozy game and you can go at your own pace/go slow :)

PICKING UP ALL RESOURCES

If y'all are a collector like me, you feel like you have to pick up every resource available. Or, y'all could be looking to get 999 of every resource.

There are 34 different resources that can be picked up
-# I am not including Comics or Music Discs.

  • 1 nul
  • 19 possible best friends
  • meaning only 14 resources to pick up! (+ 20 characters/nul to ask 😅)

Below, I have listed out (imo) the easiest and useful resources to pick up. To pick up all island resources, you must ask a best friend + nul for the remaining items.
If you have not maxed out many characters (yet), please refer to [this list](#1289347946046951484 message) for the important items to gather!

Easy Pick-Up Items:

  • pineapples
  • rubber
  • sticks*
  • lotus blossoms*
  • glow berries
  • swampmallows
  • apple
  • spinip
  • pumpkin
  • cactus cream
  • magma blooms
  • toasted almonds
  • wormtails
  • ribbon

Other Options:

  • snowcicles
  • cinnablooms
  • seeds
  • starfruit

  • chocolate coins*
  • coral milk
  • calming crystals*

Easy Currencies To Pick Up:

*For sticks, there are 15 in Seaside and 15 in Gemstone, check with the nul/best friend to see if you've picked up 15 in a region before going to the next region!

*For lotus blossoms, there are 7 in Seaside and 7 in the Swamp, check with the nul/best friend to see if you've picked up 7 in a region before going to the next region!

*For chocolate coins, I personally avoid going underwater, but this is the easiest underwater resource to collect.

Calming crystals are an easy resource to pick up, but aren't used for many crafts or quests. (It is a low priority resource, but easy to pick up if you are asking your best friends/nul for a different resource).

Hi! Idk if you’re still updating this, but any best friend can show you how much of something is left to collect, not just the Nul.

Wondering if you have any thoughts on the strategy now that resources stack for 3 days?

Cheers!
