think thats why the game counting freaks out in the quest menu. To get a little 👆🤓 , the game seems to check if you have the item for the quest, when it finds the item, it checks the quantity and stops. But on other occasions, it keeps checking after finding the item name and finds the other duplicates

so I wrote down on paper which quests unlock which other ones and which require waiting for the next reset and if I did every available quest every day from this point onwards (which I might not bc I don't always have endless time to play), then the earliest I'll get detour distractions/last but not least would be monday... and honestly I'm not entirely sure when I opened MSP's store this week.. it wasn't yesterday and I think also not the day before, so it might have been monday? so it's possible I would also get the inspo buddies quest that same day.. I put a warning on my sheet to not do those two quests until AFTER I've done the inspo buddies/city town plush pals ones... but I might not even have to wait a day for those to become available for me... (especially if I don't get around to all the quests I could do on saturday or sunday and set myself back another day)

I think the one that actually soft locks you is the quest after detour distractions, but not 100% sure on that

so I think if you just don't finish this one or at LEAST don't start the one after that you should be fine?

• Inspo Buddies unlocks 7 days after you finished Piano Plush Pals.
• City Town Plush Pals unlocks the next day (maybe that day - it depends if this was changed in your version)

An item unlocked through City Town Plush Pals is needs to complete Last but Not Least. If you start Last but Not Least you will not be able to start Inspo Buddies or Piano Plush Pals because the characters are the same.

This softlock has been reported and is being looked at now.

Back in the fall when Sunblink had initially been hoping to release City Town, there was about half as much to it as there is now.

I don't, but the critter park was in that round area on the right where characters gather for quests now. (The critter park area now was just water.) The shops (Pekkle's, MSP, eventually Tourist Shop) were in that centre street leading to The Fog. We didn't have the West Rooftop at all; for a long time, we didn't have City Skyline either. And Rainbow Tower was off to the right kind of where Pekkle and Hangyodon stand now.

I really like the cafe. I love customizing the outside and seeing all the visitors for more 2 minutes when I collect items.

The outside customization options got way better in recent months too, and the many new options were much nicer.

When the characters first finally started showing up inside the café to eat (rather than getting all their orders to go), they weren't eating what we had just sold them. I'm pretty sure Sunblink fixed that and now they do.

There are so many more reasons to hang out there now. Before there was a bit more to do there than there is in WW, but not much more.

They were literally fish in a barrel!

It was so easy. I got so much fwish furniture from just sitting here and reeling in fish after fish after fish.

This was also a major hiding spot of rainbow beams. They hid behind it and could hardly be seen at all on the pink tiles.

It's outside where Kuromi's boutique is now.

They're so difficult in that big swimming pool they're in now. I was super sad about that particular change, though the pool is prettier.

The developers were hoping that Nintendo would approve the version 2.15 update before this weekend. (The devs have previously said that Nintendo's review process takes 2+ weeks, so I'm guessing they had the update submitted to Nintendo before the DLC released.)
However, version 2.15 is currently still waiting on Nintendo's review. I don't think Nintendo reviews updates over weekends, but I could be wrong.

I think they said that it's just not possible to drop a quest with the current quest system -- probably means it would break something. This is from a 2024 feedback thread.

Unfortunately this just isn't how our quest system works. It's currently impossible to start, undo, and then re-have the quest.
They also called the quest system "disappointingly fragile" around that same time.
From what they've said, quest system improvements have been a work-in-progress for a while. The extremophile greenhouse upgrade has been waiting on quest system improvements, for example -- it's implied that the quest(s) to upgrade it might need to do something like track or request specific colors for specific flower types, and the current system just can't.

The city's honestly kind of frustrating to navigate, so much of it seems purposefully designed so that jumping and gliding just don't make it. Almost like they're trying to force the use of thermal and stamina potions, and/or keeping some combination of Kuromi, Pompompurin, and Retsuko as companions

Usahana’s ability + Wheatflour Wonderland + being able to favorite things has made me more willing to use potions. Magic Potions, especially with Kuromi's ability giving +50% time, last long enough to be useful, but it’s too expensive without Usahana and Hello Kitty helping with the production.

Yeah, there are a couple quests where the quest progression isn't quite set up right. I think theyre pushing a fix for the issues found in the next Switch update, but it takes so much longer to get Nintendo approvals for updates than PS5 and Steam, it sounds like, so we're struggling a bit 😅

The multiplier gives you extra food items and additional city coins, it helps a lot when you’re serving large volumes of orders. I have Usahana and Cogimyun equipped for this: Cogimyun returns some items after crafting, and Usahana doubles the food output.

You’re limited to 100 orders per day, so I usually just put on some music and zone out while running the café, haha.

No, each character placing an order counts as one order.
Usahana doesn’t increase the number of orders; she just helps by producing extra food and granting additional city coins.
The extra food can then be used to fulfill other characters’ orders, which saves resources.

Once you collect them they don’t respawn.

600 is the maximum you can get. You need at least 200,000 points to get that many. If you’re getting 460 and 550, you’re either getting too many wrong or not doing them fast enough. 550 is still pretty good!

You don’t need all of them correct if you do them quickly. I try to aim for 17 seconds or faster. But you do need most of them correct. Or just do them more slowly and accept that it will take a few more rounds.

I prefer the pipes game too, but even if you do it perfectly on hard, it’s still so few tickets as a reward. 🙁

It might be a matter of they're not where they're supposed to be. If you tried to talk to them before they were at wherever they're supposed to be for the quest they have a habot o fnot giving the correct dialogue

If you leave it open sometimes the current order stays at the top of your screen as an open quest. I haven't seen any other negative consequences of leaving it open. I've closed mine (on Arcade) maybe twice in a year.

As far as I know the problem was Made with Love is that people were getting the quest before they had access to seaweed. You have to make seaweed sheets in the quest. If you have seaweed, you should be ok.

The Switch players got Sunblink mail with Seaweed in it (which some spent anyway before starting the quest), but I think Steam had an update that fixed it.
