I think the events are supposed to be exactly tied to real life, just generally associated with a time of year and theme. Like it's never called christmas and we have a present pine. this is never called lunar new year. it just kinda has that feel and happens around the time

You have to do the "Meet the Island Beings" quest, and then you should get the first event cutscene after the next daily reset.

They're so hidden this year that it took 3 very thorough passes at night to find them even as an experienced player, this isn't a good gameplay experience. So many things lately have been getting unnecessarily worse and worse in the user experience of this game.

I also think it might be that their event schedule means they can't match the real-world timing more appropriately. The current event lineup seems fairly settled, except for the Frenzies. The Hijri lunar new year is in June this year, I think, which would be during the Sunshine Celebration.

FWIW, we want to do the costume and tea set each year for the zodiac animal — we didn’t want to break that set for the folks that want to collect all 12. We did it for dragon, and snake, so doing it for horse was a must.

But the theme can and likely will change year to year to celebrate various things aligned with light, hope, and good intentions.

There isn’t more information at this time, but chances are that either:

1. Seeing another cutscene for the event will unlock the outfits.
2. (Probably more likely) The event ending will unlock the outfits.

• Events ending has unlocked outfits before. For example, any holiday sweater issues for Give & Gather were fixed after the event fully ended on December 30th.

In the past there were some issues if an event currency and an item looked the same. People got very confused in the first scholastic celebration and thought they were getting currency when it was the School Pencil hat.

Apologies if this has been answered, but I'm very confused about the dev mails for luck & lanterns. Switch players got 15 candles, but AA players received event items worth 48 candles.

I know the event technically started early on platforms like Switch, but it was with last year's currency which can't be used now and disappeared with CU5.

Will we be getting another dev mail to even things out for non-AA players as that's a significant discrepancy

the old L&L currency that was available to all non-AA platforms when the event started earlier than it was supposed to, was able to purchase the new furniture and if I remember correctly everything cost 1x Lucky Envelopes

the Sunblink Mail AA received was sent out to compensate players since other platforms were able to buy items a few days before them (until CU5 rolled out) and it's honestly a bit more than what we were able to buy but I don't think we'll be receiving that mail since it was to compensate them in the first place

Unfortunately I’d say a majority of platform users spent their currency before the bugged event ended. I know I bought a few more furniture pieces than they gave out on Apple Arcade. (With Sam’s bonus)

The people who didn’t spend their currency before they updated are missing out, but they had opportunity. There’s isn’t a way to filter only giving it to people who didn’t spend their currency so they kinda just miss out.

All we were told was that everyone would get the same amounts, not that other platforms needed to use it before a certain time. I’m personally very grateful that the devs took action to mitigate what was in essence a bug that gave other platforms an advantage, and did their best to even out the opportunity for everyone to have a fair amount of the same amounts of event furniture. It was communicated in this server by Chelsea a few times that if you had extra currency due to the bug, you had until a certain day to use it all. There were absolutely multiple “use it or lose it” warnings. It definitely does seem like there will always be people who will never be pleased no matter what happens, and I think the important thing to remember is at the end of the day, it’s a Hello Kitty game, they’re a bunch of pixels, sometimes bugs happen, and there’s only so much that can be done to rectify the issues that arise, and in this case it was done well.

I’m thinking in terms of rarity, really. Like, you have now had three opportunities to buy year 1’s furniture, so if you really still want it, go ahead and just use your materials. This is only the second opportunity to get last year’s, so it makes sense to me to charge a single event currency for it, and some materials. And current events cost multiple of the currency

That's inaccurate since it's only true for Apple Arcade — it's actually PS5's first time having these events since HKIA launched in August for that platform, and 2nd year for Steam/Nintendo, although possibly the 1st time for majority of those players as well if they didn't grab the game right when it first released. For me it's the second time

I think resources make the most sense, especially if it's cheaper materials players can acquire overtime and don't need for a lot of early-game quests. For an example, Sparks derive from Light Stones which are a gift-return material so I don't think they should even be used for purchasing event items in the first place

A middle ground could be incorporating previous year's currency to apply to previous year's items — Lovebugs are back for Hugs & Hearts but can only be used to purchase clothing when furniture would make sense too, especially if we could catch 3x (or a fair number) a day to level it out. There has been a lot of feedback regarding this and I thought there would be some changes with the new year and reset to events so I'm just surprised. I just think it'd improve player experience

Glitch doesn’t work with regular event currency though I think it can for the decorating kits for birthdays.

No, you can only collect event currency on your own island and can’t trade/gift it.

The only exception is if you have the Shared Pickup multiplayer ability unlocked (which takes months of playing with the same person/people and can only be used when playing with them). It does let you get most event currencies when the host collects it from around the island, but that still can’t share critters like lovebugs.

Yeah, you have to go through steps of being able to do multiplayer for the platform you are on, make sure it's the correct one as there's no cross-play

Event currency isn't tradeable, and getting to gift/trade clothing takes a long term commitment between two players

Outfits are generally only unlocked through cutscenes. Those cutscenes would be still to come and be follow-ups to the Carl and Ruby cutscene we already had. (People who don't have the visitors moved in yet should still have access to the options after the event ends, judging by how it has worked for other events.)

But my heart boxes keep giving me only 5 or 7 tea lights. I got 9 once but never 10. I don’t like the random number because nine are always low. I want more tea lights. This is so frustrating.

So if the range 5-10 the math should be enough to get you one of everything with 5 every day playing 70% of the time. They don’t do math for multiple items but you should have extra based on the math

They've changed some of the event dates around this year, so I'm not sure how that will be scheduled.
Happy Haven Days was originally based on the International Day of Happiness, which is March 20, so it's possible it will run during or directly after the Carnival.

We don’t know how long the Carnival is this year, either, but it was 14 days in 2024 and 19 days in 2025.

I think that should be the other way around, you can get all if you do 70% of daily/login/petal.

Can we earn event currency if we are playing in mult*player mode (at level 20) on a friends island when they run the course? I visited a friends island and visa versa today to try and pick up the additional dye from the challenge course, but it didn't work. Others have a difference experince?

No, multiplayer guests can't get colorblaze powder from courses. Shared pickup doesn't apply to special challenge course prizes.

||Batz-Maru will get a Knight outfit.||
||Chococat and Pompom's father will get Wizard outfits.||
||Keroppi will get a Jester Outfit.||
||Pompom's mom will get a Princess outfit.||
||Pompom will get an Archer outfit.||

All this is according to the dying stand. I don't think we were meant to be able to dye them those colors yet.

the last event daily calendar hasn't been released yet, so it's likely from there if you've bought everything from the stand and been claiming daily rewards

with long events like Springtime Celebration it takes a while to acquire all items in Collections since they're spaced out like that

This is my first time with the color blaze event but from my understanding only one course shows up at a time. If you miss a course, you can run it and then it’ll disappear and update to the next one and so forth until you’re caught up to the current one

You can also still get the cutscenes if you get the characters moved in now.
