I was really surprised at how dark the main antagonist's backstory is.

||Imagine having to helplessly watch a crowd devour your own father because you made a mistake who's consequences you could not really predict. Worse still not only does the crowd, likely consisting of your own friends and acquaintances, go on to eat your entire home country and leave it ravaged, it is implied that these (luckily made of sweets) inhabitants ate each other in their craze. And like... they're implied to be super dead, like even with the power to bring sweets to life I don't see any way for them to come back.||
