They are stepping on eachothers’ toes while stupidly having your best player (Lamine) hold width and 4 (if you count Pedri) of your players attacking the middle.

Barcelona has a lot of players in the central areas and over-depends on progression through the center, as I said.

The problem is, La Liga managers aren’t stupid, therefore they started setting-up in compact 4-4-2’s or 5-4-1’s, with their lines very tight so that Barca’s SS (Olmo) and morphed #10, (Raphinha) won’t have time and space on the ball, unless they attack the space in-behind and you’ll spam through-balls, again, being predictable.

The best we got to see from Hansi wasn’t against Real Madrid or Bayern for that matter, it was against Valladolid and against Vallecano.

We played a single-pivot, with Olmo as a high RCM and Pedri LCM, Raphinha LIF, not too central, not too wide.

Transitional defence on point, progression and build-up wasn’t predictable and slow, everything was actually going so well, until Hansi’s stubbornness kicked in.

We rarely see the connection from Lamine and Olmo due to the big space in-between them, something we used to see very commonly.

We need to stop this #10 non-sense and let Olmo act as a midfielder again, to give us the control and dominance we had at the beginning of the season.
