Salutations, I just began to run BCG Plus on a hosted server. All of my players are able to join except for one. They have an intel i3 integrated graphics card but, cannot get the current driver to play on fabric.
Does anyone know of a way to get around this check? They've been able to play on extra large sized modpacks up until I made the switch to BigChadGuys.
The main issue is that fabric is not compatible with their driver version and they cannot get the latest driver version for their laptop due to it being older (they have all updates and manual installation does not work). Would anyone know of a way to bypass this graphics driver check?
#Player cannot access fabric mods.

We do not recommend using the CurseForge launcher.
The CurseForge Launcher is built on the Overwolf platform, which is known for being an adware/spyware/bloatware platform. The CurseForge Launcher also persistently has issues updating packs, causing instances of desync where the pack differs from the standard. This creates issues where different players who think they are "on the same version" may experience different mod configurations, different mods being loaded, and different data pack load orders. If any of these things differ from the standard version of the pack, you will not be able to play with other players or join standard version servers. You may even experience world corruption in your single-player saves.
We recommend you switch to Prism Launcher (most user-friendly!) or ATLauncher for the best and most stable experience.
An Open Source Minecraft launcher with the ability to manage multiple instances, accounts and mods. Focused on user freedom and free redistributability.
ATLauncher is a simple and easy to use Minecraft launcher which contains many different modpacks for you to choose from and play.
you could have them try prism
and then have them try using the workaround settings
it's in their instance settings and should be easy to fix
They were using a couple of different launchers. One of them was the FTBapp, I believe.
I will recommend they switch to Prism. Thank you, Nic. I'll update here how things turn out.
Aaand now I am home from work:
It's their graphics driver. They have an onboard gpu that is outdated and cannot update it anymore.
When she's online, I'll check out the instance settings.
I learned that it's a sodium issue. There isn't anything that can really be done but, after removing sodium and it's dependencies, she can't load up the modpack without getting a error: -1
that's the part you go into the work arounds for
have them set their graphics settings in the work around tab i think should fix it
Alrightyo, I'll have them work on it. If all else fails, they're working on getting a new pc and they're able to play other packs by disabling sodium.
Thank you for your assistance with this!
Did it work then?
I am not sure yet, they're not available at the moment. I just wanted to give you my thanks.
