Have you checked the forum and wiki to ensure your issue hasn't been resolved? (Y/N): Y
What launcher are you using? (Curseforge, ATLauncher, Prism Launcher...): Curseforge, but the log is from my server running the server pack
Which modpack are you using? (BCG+, BCG+NC, BCGHG): BCG+ with some new mods
Have you modified the pack in any way? (i.e. Adding or removing mods): Added mods
What version of the modpack are you using? (1.1.16HF, 1.1.15, 1.1.14...): 2.7.1
What version of the Java runtime are you using? (Java 17, 18, 21...): 21
Have you allocated 6GB of RAM or higher? (Y/N): Y
If playing with others, what method is being used to host/join the server? (Official server support can be found here: https://discord.gg/playcdu): Dedicated Server
If playing with others, have you confirmed that both the client and server are running the exact same version of the pack (including any HF releases)? (Y/N): Y
Describe the issue: My parents shut a breaker off to fix some wiring and I had my brother relaunch my server, and my friends texted me saying it was lagging rly bad and then it eventually crashed. It was up for a few hrs before the first crash, now it crashes as soon as I join
Steps you've taken in effort to resolve this issue: Restarting. I have not yet removed mods because that would make a lot of builds in the world dissapear
8gb of ram, I gotta look through my mods rq, and ill switch to 17 but 21 WAS working fine up until now
All added mods: Create Diesel Generators Restitched, Create Clockwork, Eureka, Create Connected, Create Trackwork fabric. a forge to fabric converter that i forgot to delete, Valk Skies, Create Big Cannons, and LevelZ
backup the world, run the server with a fresh world, see if it timesout
thats what im getting ready to do
is there a built in backup or should i just copy the world file
is there a backup mod for fabric i can add because my old ATM server auto backed up and that was nice
no clue
usually need to use a delta backup command. these mc saves get large very fast
server runs fine until I waystone to my base
also I removed eureka, Valk Skies, trackwork, and create connected
corrupt chunk or cobblemonplayerdata
im using the non cobblemon version
then corrupted chunk
if its a corrupt chunk is it just gg
you could check it
how would I do that
how do i do that. I've been using /spark tps but thats about all i know of spark
do /spark health
the supposedly corrupted chunk or area was at a base that no one would have been out when things started going bad, and was just running a wheat farm off a windmill
contraptions can corrupt if improperly chunk loaded when a server is stopped
that would line up with contraptions being chunk loaded when the power went out
there was a fix that disables all contraptions currently running i think
like a command that stops them
also how detrimental would that be to everyone elses machiens
it just sets them to stop moving iirc
ok if i do this imma do a backup since it seems to delete several machiens
safer one is /kill @e[type=create,nbt=<nbt of contraption>,distance=10] I think
How would I get the NBT of the contraption
This Minecraft tutorial explains how to use the /data command with screenshots and step-by-step instructions. You can use the /data command to get, merge and remove NBT tags (formerly called data tags) for entities and block entities. Starting in Minecraft Java Edition 1.13, the /data command replaces the /entitydata command.
hmmm. Im gonna try doing all on a backup first and if not then try this cause i dont know the coords of the machine
yeah
I ran /kill @e[type=create:...] and did create:contraption, create:stationary_contraption, and Gantry contraption which did delete all windmills but no luck
the server crashes right as I go near my mine/windmill
crash log?
java doesnt care what you have lol
damn
tried using java 17?
boutta do that. idk what could have happened within the last 12 hrs that would make that the issue
well the crash log says entity overload and drop items
either corrupted the chunk or the iron washer got out of hand
the way its set up in my fams is there should never be overflow
my other farm is a netherrack farm thats loaded
just telling you what the log says
nah ik im just tryna go through it to myself
which will def kill servers
the server just loads the chunk data
there's no 'cleanup'
can I despawn all items
yeah
/kill @e[type=!player]
you can add animals/mobs to the != part
if you have animals you want to keep
will this also kill create contraptions and other entities or does the lack of a mod specification keep it vanilla
most likely
yeah
one of the belts of my iron farm cobble collection was reversed
welp
that was an embarrasingly easy fix
that kills all mobs excluding players
don't do that one
for ground items /kill @e[type=item]
I made a thing you can set up to void excess items using toms lemme see If I can find it
forgot I need to update and reinstall still...
okay so based on this screenie from main storage connector block go with a filtered cable connector set to high priority for the item then in to a connector block touching at minimum 4 maxed out compact barrels/chests then have a trash can connected with another filtered cable connector but this time set to low filtered to the item so you only get rid of when the storage is full
