Have you modified the pack in any way? no

What version of the modpack are you using? 3.9

What version of the Java runtime are you using? no clue

Have you allocated 6GB of RAM or higher? yea

If playing with others, what method is being used to host/join the server? e4mc

If playing with others, have you confirmed that both the client and server are running the exact same version of the pack (including any HF releases)? yea

Describe the issue:
I'm tryna play with someone and basically my version didnt have e4mc or essentials or any world hosting mod so I switched my modpack version to 3.9 on curseforge which says it has e4mc and the person also switched to the same version with the same minecraft version 1.19.2. I open a world and start a lan hosting and it doesnt give me the e4mc link only the port, and after a minute or two it just says "e4mc error"

bcghg comes with luna not e4mc, haven't updated it since i was a part of LPs

luna is a fork of e4mc so if you want to swap them out you'll need to remove it

Is luna another kind of LAN world hosting mod??

cuz like when I do go in lan nothing appears other than the port number and an error from e4mc

go into your mods folder and remove luna if you are trying to use e4mc

In order to better help you with your issue, we need to see your client's log file. To find the log files/folder:

  • ATLauncher: Instances > BigChadGuys Plus > Open Folder
  • Prism Launcher: Right-click your instance > Folder
  • CurseForge Launcher: Right-click your instance > Open Folder

Double-click the logs folder and send your latest.log in this channel. If your game crashed, please also include the newest file in crashReports/

honestly if anything ill just switch to bcg+ because this is just kind of a hassle, I have my worlds backed up

the version shown in your logs is 3.2. This was released some time last year. Currently the most up to date for MC 1.19.4 is 5.2.1.

Given that e4mc has to connect to server to provide a service it is possible it is denying the connection since it has to be updated. not 100% since I havent tried

Ohh omg okay wait I see now. My thought process was that because my modpack is on mc 1.19.2 it wouldn't support the latest update of e4mc since it's not listed on the 'game versions' section in the curseforge page
